Instead of attempting to pull the connector out of a cartomizer, I found it much easier and quicker just to cut the bottom 1/4'' off with a dremel and a cutoff wheel. It is easy to deform the carto tube in your attempts to pull that connector out.

Oh yeah I never even thought of that, good idea, I think it just depends on the atty or carto cuz my tube came right off pretty easily but this sounds good for stubborn ones.

I just received my P18 yesterday. Love it. Got a question regarding it and the 306 though.

When I went to attach the 306 it started just as smooth as a 510, but very early on I began to feel resistance. It is as though the threads don't mesh perfectly. I stopped as soon as I encountered resistance, not wanting to damage the threads.

I checked both threads, everything is clean. So far as I can tell, the 306's threads appear undamaged.

Thoughts?

Hey NCC, you will encounter that problem occasionally with some atties especially some non-Joye atties. Don't worry about it, you won't damage the P18 threads but you will need to work the atty in. Tighten until it stops, back away half a turn, tighten again, back away and so on until you make the center post makes the contact....

Thanks for the responses y'all. I'll give it a shot again with the Noalox. I just got my Noalox yesterday, along with a clear bumper to keep the P18 from rolling, some tubing for my VapeMate, and some polish for the brass. Well, Wally World only had a couple selections for metal polish. I was looking for something specifically for BRASS. I ended up buying Brasso. Although it says it's for a number of different metals (including stainless steel), I assume the name originated from it being a brass polish.?.
Is Brasso ok, and is there something better that I should look for?

I prefer using Cape Cod Cleaning cloths on brass accent parts. I found that a mechanical pencil's eraser fits down into the 510 atty connection on my Precise and cleans that contact point pretty well.
Are those available in stores or do I need to search online? (sorry don't feel like googling for it, haha)
