LR Atomizers Tripping Battery Protection Circuits?

How do you keep the LR atomizers from tripping the protection circuits on your batteries? I first thought it was bad batteries.......but they won't work on the new set that I have, either. These are 18350s and 16340s. I've tried 306s and 510s bought from different vendors and neither will work. They'll sizzle for a second or two and then go off. I'm using these on two Little Chucks. The odd thing is that they will work on a couple of old 16340s that I have or they might work for the first day or so when they are new.......then start shutting off too early and I have to go back to using the old batteries.

Any help with this would certainly be appreciated! Thanks!

If you want protected batteries, you'd need to know what the amperage cut off is for the protection circuitry. You could be trying to pull close to 2.5Amps from a cell that can only truthfully supply 1.5A. This doesn't mean the protection cut off is that low, but it does sound like you're tripping the circuits. Why not invest in cells like the AW IMR 18350 that can give a low resistance atomizer the amperage it wants? Safer chemistry, though no protection circuitry, but probably the only batteries in that size fully capable of handling the job. Maybe you want to ask the seller of those protected 18350s what the circuit cut off is as they appear to be "specially" made.
