Hello - I have 2 Joye eGos and I want to purchase extra atomizers. I did a search here on ecf and I dint find the answer I wanted. What is the difference between a low resistance and a regular atty? Is one better than the other? Do they produce different results? Thanks in advance for any help here. I am down to 1 working atty and one "half working" lol so I want to get these ordered ASAP. Hi AZVAPS,
The reg 510 atty will give good results and the Ohm is around 2.3 to 3.0 depending on how its made.
The LR is specifically made for 3.7v and produces vapor and TH like a 5v device would. You will get more vapor, a stronger TH and sometimes if your not careful with the type of liquid, you might get a burnt flavor. In the reg atty, you will get what it produces and a milder TH unless the Nic is high like 30 to 36mg.
Most people get the LR atties so they can still use a 3.7v device and get a feeling like a 5v device.
Hope this helpped. There is a thread and I believe you can look in the library here on ECF 's forum to get more info. Or someone else might chime in here..

What stubear says is correct but also matching the right voltage with Regular 510 Attys can be a better vape then a normal 3.7 if you take a joy 510 and run that Atty at around 4.2-4.6v it will kick out plumes of vapor and great taste compared to 3.7 and vape much better this way in my opinion. There are also different Low Resistance Attys some with a Resistance of 1.5-1.7 that vape great at 3.2 say with an Ego Batt and other LR Attys with a 2.ohm rating that vape nicely from 3.7-4.2v. I really think the magic numbers are lining up you Ohm's with the right voltage and once you have masted this you will find the best sweet spots on any Atty and whats right for you. Thus a Variable Voltage Mod is awesome to have because you can dial any Atty into its sweet spot and get the most out of any Atty for any individuals vaping experience.!! I hope this helps you even more AVAPS
