What do you all know about the low-resistance attys? I just got five through a trade and I'm using one on my TorneGo. This combo is rockin'! Do any of you know what they do to battery life, both short-term and long-term, and are there any known hazards with these things?

After vaping 10 months, this is like a whole new experience. Damn!

Hey bigboom. I've been using the LR attys now for over a month. Aren't they great! I have the 510s and the 901s. I use them on a protege, a precise, a lazer mod and I've used them on regular 510 batts, too. I haven't killed any batts or attys yet! I'm a dripper and I just keep them really wet and probably don't take as long of puffs. They use more juice!
I'm not familiar with the ego, but I have noticed they do best with the bigger battery. I only use 3.7, so for me that is the 14500 battery mod, especially with the IMR batts.
Enjoy!

As far as the eGo, the normal one is dialed down to 3.2v so it's a little less than normal but it also accounts for variances over the life of the battery to give you a better overall consistency.

Using an LR atomizer however, *will* shorten your average eGo vaping time, however I don't know the full stats of an eGo battery, so I don't know if it will damage it through over amperage or not. I know plenty of people who use em with eGo's and don't have any problems other than shorter battery charge lifes.

LR's are at their best when used @3.7v however, with a 1.5ohm LR atty on a 3.7v charge you'll hit 9.1 watts, which for the 8-12W sweet spot, is darn near perfect. Using an LR on any higher voltage is pointless, and can either pop the atty or the batteries PCB protection depending on the battery itself.
