I was wondering if someone could please tell me what the difference is between LR attys and regular attys. What is the difference in vapor production, throat hit and taste? Also, can these be used on the 510 Mega batteries? I read somewhere on here a while back that you can not use them on the regular 510 batteries, is that right?

Also, can you get good vapor, throat hit and taste from 0 nic e-juice? I'm still fairly new to vaping and am trying to learn all I can. What I have learned though, is that I am very addicted already :thumb:

The bottom line is that a LR atty burns significantly hotter than a regular atty, which causes it to produce much better TH. Vapor production is about the same in my experience. LR attys will run down your batteries much more quickly so be sure to have spares ready to go. Also LR attys don't last as long as regular attys. I actually prefer a medium resistance atty - about 2 - 2.3 ohms. These can be a little difficult to find, but these days I'm making my own.

Ok, I'll bite, how do you make them. LOL Are you modding an atty or basically pulling out the guts and starting from scratch?

I love LR's but at the same time, I don't. One of my favorite vapes is Mint Chocolate Chip that I make myself. I love this only on a standard 510 atty versus the LR 510. On the LR, it makes the mint really stand out but the chocolate tastes bland too me. Some flavors work great on LR and others don't. Just my tastes buds telling you this.

A Low Resistence atomizer basically lets more power from the battery pass through it, whereas high resistances limit the power provided to the atty more.

This results in more throat hit, warmer vapor, and more of it. It also tends to change the taste of juices. Some like it, some don't. Low Resistence vaping is similar to high voltage vaping, on a 5v device.

If you use 0-nic juice, using an LR atty might be a good way to get some throat hit out of it.

The issue with using LR's on regular 510 batteries, is that LR's drain batteries faster. And in a battery like the standard 510 which is only 180mAh, they can actually short out the battery once they've drained it, because they are drawing so much power.

There are people who use LR's on 510 Mega's, but those are still only 280mAh, which isn't a lot.

Personally, I wouldn't use an LR on anything less than 650mAh, like an eGo battery. The higher mAh of the eGo significantly lessens the chances of the LR atomizer destroying the battery.
