Okay so I went ahead and bought an eGo and read all the hype about LR cartos delivering 5v experience on 3v batts. So I also bought a 5 pk of LR cartos. They came in a a green SGS package so I assume they're made by SGS?
Here's the experience: The first one I filled ran great and although I think it fell way short of 5v vaping, it was a definete improvement on a normal 510 carto at eGo voltage. After I ran it for about a week I broke into the second one and filled it completely. It hit twice with a burnt taste and then popped and died! Totally ...... me off that about 30 drops of juice just got trashed! Okay, so I go into the third one. Cautiously I only filled this one with about 15 drops in case it followed the path of number two. From hit one and even now, every hit tastes crappy. Not necesarily a burnt taste but it ain't right. So out comes #4 and I give it a full fill thinking that maybe the taste came from not fully filling it, and same thing as #3!! Crap taste!! I put #1 (the good one) back on and it still vapes fine and tastes fine.
So here's my questions. Are these SGS units really bad or inconsistent? Are there better LR 510 cartos out there? Am I a .....? What gives?
