I'm waiting for this.

In 2017 there will be a solar eclipse that cuts a path from one side of the United States to the other. Only those in the path of the eclipse will be able to see it, outside the path and you will see a darkening of the sun, with the correct vision protection you can even see the moon taking a bite out of the sun. Although I am an amateur astronomy geek, I have never seen a total solar eclipse. Even if you are directly in the path and no clouds are present, only about 2 and 1/2 minutes of totality will occur. The sun will be completely blocked out, stars will present themselves during the day, the air will cool, evening insects will buzz, birds will hush, and the shadow of the moon will pass.
I plan to be in on the Kansas Missouri state line, 600 miles from my home, to see this rarest of celestial events.
