Lungs not clearing?

Read a lot of people cough up gunk when they quit the analogs, but so far I haven't experienced any of that. I had my last analog after 40 yrs about 3 1/2 months ago, and was at about 2 1/2 PAD.
Was kind of hoping to to actually see some of that crap clearing out of me, but really happy that the chest pains stopped almost right away.
Anyone else in the same boat?

I also didn't cough anything up when i started vaping but I knew that my lungs were clearing out just by taking really deep breaths. I didn't hear all the noises my lungs used to make anymore. I can actually take a deep, lungful of air now. I couldn't before. Some people's bodies just work in different ways. Don't freak out thinking that nothing good is happening to you. Trust that since your not smoking it has to be and just go with it. You'll see improvements eventually.

I hadn't smoked for that long only about 15 years but I didn't have that coughing up stuff either. I did cough a little at first but wasn't coughing up anything. I think my initial coughing was just my lungs getting used to vapor as opposed to smoke.

Sounds about the same as me, some days the vapor still tickles my throat, but mostly now I can puff away just fine.
Was just a little concerned as everyone I've known who quit told me about how much gunk they managed to clear out their lungs afterwards.

I coughed for a little while, then found out it is best to inhale the vapor just far enough to exhale out of the nose and mouth. When I smoked cigarettes, I would wake up every night hacking and gagging. I wonder if I had sleep apnea? I smoked for around 21 years at least a pack a day, 2 or close to 3 when I was young, and smokes were cheaper. Now I can sleep through the night, and the Hubby says I don't snore like a freight train :w00t:

I didn't cough either.
Read that one should not be vaping into the lungs, nicotine being vaped doesn't get absorbed there anyway or something like that.
Just pull it into your mouth in a long slow inhale, roll it around like a good wine, and exhale thru your nose.
It's called a flavour puff or something like that.
