Farmerjim2000.... Yeh... take a huge mouth of vapor and inhale it deeply. If you choke and cough then you're healing/healed. Not only are your lungs much, much, more sensitive because those cilia are alive and awake but your lungs are beginning to go back to normal size having gotten rid of all the debris that filled them up and they just won't hold all that vapor. But CAUTION... your lungs and bronchial tubes won't like it and will quickly start producing mucous to wall off and protect themselves... you'll later need to cough all that up.

I had a similar experience with my tongue a few months ago. What I found was my body didn't particularly like certain e liquid and I started reacting to them. I genuinely stick away from Mt baker Vapor because they where the culprit of my reaction. I experimented with all vg liquids and that pg was my problem then went to some epic liquids and thought that the pg was to high and ordered again from Mt Baker Vapor. Within an hr of vaping a 80/20 Vg/pg liquid my symptoms came back and haven't used their liquids since and have been fine. I am not saying don't use their liquids (not sure if you are our not) but try other brands and see how you react. Everyone reacts differently to different chemicals. Also keep hydrated!!

Is it possible to vape too much that it causes coughing and/or irritation? I wasn't sure . Also since I've been hooked on my unit, I felt nauseous so I went out and picked up a juice with less nicotine. It's lighter and gives less throat hit so I feel better constantly toking it while sitting around

Ha--you know even though we are vapers, we are still subject to occasional colds, viruses, etc., so I wonder if some of these symptoms are really related to vaping at all. I, for one, never experienced any of that, and I've been vaping well over three years. Of course, I only smoked about half a pack of analogs a day for about 40 years! And, I don't believe the business about no longer being able to inhale the vape after your lungs heal--pure fantasy! I still love my deep inhales as much as ever--but maybe my lungs haven't healed yet, lol.
