After 3 years of having an account I finally made my first post today! Hoping that everything I've learned lurking around the threads in the past few years may allow me to help others.

My vaping journey...

Pre-2008 I used to enjoy cigar's pretty regularly. A few times a month... nothing "George Burns". But with a newborn roaming around, I was rarely finding the appropriate time/place for such recreational activity. In 2013 I was on vacation in Hawaii and stumbled upon a Volcano kiosk. The guy was vaping right there in the middle of the "mall" o_O (if I remember correctly, it was one of those outdoor malls). I'd seen the cigalikes but nothing like a LavaTube. It looked more like a cigar and what I was familiar with. I sauntered over and gave it a go. I was blown away at the flavor profiles I was getting. I picked up an Inferno and over the course of the next 6 - 8mo blew probably $300 trying to find the right Mod/RTA/Juice combo usually always falling back to the Nautilus Mini on a faux carbon fiber VV internal battery mod (also by aspire if memory serves) with primarily PG liquid. Have stuck to 0mg to allow myself some comfort to continue vaping indoors around others. I'll admit, there's some satisfaction lost there compared with having a good ol' fashion cigar.

Oh how times have changed in such a short period. Everything I do now is sub-ohm. Currently using an Eleaf iKuun i200 with the Atlantis EVO, Crown 3, and wound up being pretty fond of the NRG that came with my Revenger mod. Plan to give the TFV8X a try as well as the TFV12 Prince when it releases (what's the deal with the left handed MAG kit?:pervy:). Still all RTA though... I watch a lot of video reviews and try to keep up on the latest technology and must say, this squonking thing may get me to try an RDA. Two years ago I hit up a local vape shop and the guy behind the counter told me that RDA was dying and probably wouldn't be around in a year. The building still worries me a bit. I'm familiar enough with electronics (have been soldering and performing minor electronic repairs for over 20 years), it's the additional cost (? maybe this is just perception of buying extra stuff) and time that make me weary. Now I see they even sell pre-made coils! Nuts! No end to the amount of laziness I guess... which works well for me  I've always been a flavor chaser so it may be time.

Curious to hear about anybody else's transition into RDA's and any tips you may have. Hearing really good things about the Pulse 24 and the Dead Rabbit. Easily buildable, squonkable, and flavor off the charts.

Yeah, and they're still pushing back on us. If they fail to win the "approved" logo lotto where will we be? No unicorn pod vaper I. Best off, be prepared. So welcome and congrats for choosing to lend a hand. Nudge me anytime. I can build a stable coil in 30 seconds that may resemble the below. Interested, shout out.

Good luck. :)

Welcome Oudakontrol, glad that you decided to de-lurk! I too am starting to take a closer look into the world of squonking. Its amazing the different directions this "hobbie" has taken me! I haven't got any really good sugestions on an RDA for you, but I am pretty sure that if you stick around, you may get some good input. Hope you find some help and once again, welcome!

Good call on the "hobbie" moniker. Collecting and maintaing humidors was itself quite a hobby but this is pretty next level stuff.

Welcome and glad you joined.
My background too. Old fashion cigars were good after 3 or 4 good tastes, after that, I remember chasing my nic fix. Now at zero nic and no taste let downs.

I vape nothing but RDA's. There little to no on-going money flow for the vendors because they can be set up with max flavor at the lowest cost.
