Hey all,

Just purchased an LV therion 166 with a uwell crown 3 tank. Im using the preinstalled .25 ohms coil at 80w (recommended 80-90). My mod is reading .35 ohms and is giving me the "ohms too high" error. Is this something I should be worried about? I went into Escribe and used the wattage calculator to change the Wh from 16 to 18.5, but still getting the same error. Any info on this? much appreciated.

The ohms too high message is telling you the ohms are too high to deliver the wattage you are dialing up. The DNA250 (166.7 in dual 18650 configuration) is a Buck only chip so the voltage is capped at 6.0v.
Power (watts) = V^2 / R so that would be 36 / .35 or 102 watts.

That still doesn't completely explain it since you are dialing up 80 watts. The only thing I can think of is the resistance isn't stable and is going up as you are firing the device. If the resistance rises, the max wattage will go down as the resistance climbs. You didn't mention what the coils are made of. I'm assuming you are in Power Mode. If it's SS then the resistance would go up as the coil(s) are heating up.

Well the 6.0v output limit is the limit because it's not a boost board (Bucks voltage, doesn't boost it and Evolv caps it at 6.0v so it can do it through the whole battery(s) run). Why the coil is reading .1 ohm higher is anyone's guess. It could be the head is not seated well in the atty, dirty threads, or just off/old/bad. I would try a new head personally. If the resistance is raising to .45 ohms while you are firing it then the max output would be 80 watts (36/.45 = 80 watts). The lower the resistance, the higher the max output (watts) will be. The ohms to high is just informational telling you the resistance is too high for the mod to meet the power you have dialed up.
