What are you guys that are making your own battery setups doing about LVC (low voltage cutoff) ?

Is there a chip you can buy to do this? I have some lipos I want to try but they need an LVC or they will get ruined if the voltage level discharges below 3V.

Those are all 5V

If you're using protected batteries (which you should be doing), they have low voltage cutout built-in to the protection circuit.

I'm not. I am using a lipo battery. thats why i need ot make a circuit to cut the power when it gets down to 3v.

i think this will work Protection Circuit Module ( PCB ) for 3.6V / 3.7V Li-Polymer Battery (8.5A limit)

That should work fine. I'd make sure the LiPo you're using can handle an 8.5A discharge though, as smaller/cheaper cells probably can't. As long as that's within spec, you should be golden.

130mAh? A standard 510/901 battery is rated for about 180mAh. You might as well take the battery and protection board out of one of those.

i was going to use an E8 cartomizer.
i think those batteries are pretty low mah.

the reason i wanted to try it is because i have a bunch of these lipos and they are really small. and they charge in 20 minutes.
