M201 Questions

My sis got her 201 and has been using it a couple of days now...she's awful shy and won't join the forum so I'm doing her bidding here!

For her, the throat hit and vapor production don't seem to be as good as her VX2 and the atomizer seems to flood very easily. She uses RY4 24mg in both. In the 201, the e-liquid changes color...it really looks like she's using your Oriental - ya know, that kind of redish orange color. Not like it's burned, but just changes color...Weird!

Also, the flavor is different in the 201 compared to VX2....it has a plastic-y whang to it...

So does any of this sound normal? Is maybe she doing something wrong? Any tips appreciated.

Thanks Shawn...what about the juice changing color? Could that be related to the primer, too?

I've been using mine for almost a week now and love it! I have been using the m201 more than anything else I have.. I love how long the carts last.. they hold so much! My juice did get tinted red too.. thought it was weird, but whatever! lol I love my 201 .. I am gonna have to get some spares !

Yeah, the juice did turn red for the first few days,but after breaking in this has been the best ecig I have used.I have had to reduce the nic content of my juice,because the throat hit was so strong.

If you watch my review of the M201 I had to do the same. I'm at an 18-ish in strength on my M201. 24 on everything else.

Yeap primer, I just used my new 401 and it was my first vap. All i could taste was primer and something, went though all the fluids I got from shawn, I was like yuck people like this stuff ! Then I thought about it and it reminded me of my new zippo lighter using it the first time, same flavor metal.

But today 24 hrs later i can't taste the primer at all . But i did vapp a lot, like way a lot. I can taste the mint good now yesterday not so much, going to retry cappucino I might like it today.

I might get more batteries though I killed all 3 in a day, oh well I liked the 401 from shawn, so much just from the looks of it before i even vapped, I ordered the 510 from him too! Now I am just sitting here waitting on my new friend the mailman.

After break in and getting rid of the primer the flavor improved on my 201 and the red color disappeared from my carts.
The primer was keeping me from getting the full flavor of the juice I'm having to order 18 mg juice instead of 24 Because the nicotine is overpowering the rest of the taste when I vape more than a couple of hits at a time. I get that after taste like an unfiltered analog in the back of my throat.

The M201 does pack a pretty good punch and put out good vapor..

For some reason, Menthol and Mint seem to hit even harder than other flavors at the same strength. 26mg Menthol on a M201 atomizer, attached to a passthrough kicks me like a freakin' mule, LOL..

I have a 201 on my 801/201 Nicostick and it is the best. Flavor is more like a 901 and throat hit is like a 510. GREAT combo.

+1 on all that- have noticed it is taking longer to break in my 201 ( got it from Shawn last monday) than it took with my 401, bigger atty, so that makes sense. Really starting to like it, can almost choke myself with 24mg off the passthrough. Still think dipping the 401 off a Passthrough is the bomb,however- can't wait for my Kensington to get here (when I'm mobile, wee hoo).

just to give you guys a quick summary my name is mike ive been smoking 2packs a day for 10 years. im 25 years old. i switched to ecigs 15 days ago and havent looked back. Now being new to this I didn't know what to get so I ended up with the m201 from shawn @ eciglite i ordered it with all x-high(24mg) eliquid. I got a variety of flavors ry2 3 and 4, mint, deuce(some brand he made i think) and cotton candy. i like the cotton candy alot. the mint ry4 and deuce are pretty good. i have yet to try the ry2 and 3...

Now my questions are do you guys think the m201 is good compared to other models? i am looking for a lot of vapor maybe more than the 201 gives me... but overall i like it, but again this is the first one ive tried...
2. are shawns (litecigusa) eliquid the same as janty ??? why is jantys 2x the cost. do the ry4's taste the same?
3. what do you think of the 510s, which is the best is the vapor production and throat hit as good.
4. what are the best overall ecigs.
i know i asked alot of questions but im really into the whole ecig thing and feedback is alot cheeper than trial and error. thanks guys

IMO the 201 is simply the best out-of-the-box e-cig when it comes to vapor production. Anything greater in vapor production would have to be a mod of some sort, wether it's the Vapre51 here at litecigusa.net, any one of the many available from other vendors, or even home made mods.

Just my 2 cents.

No, the Vapre51 is a mod, but it can use a 501 atomizer.

Hi Shawn,

I wanted to see what is going on with the new M201 attys? The new ones I got from you aren't like the old ones. The new attys have no holes while the older ones had four holes. They vape like the older ones but the problem is they work well with your new batteries and not the older batteries....with the older batteries the draw is super stiff. Also the new attys don't seem to last anywhere near as long as the older attys. Did Smoore tell you that they changed their attys and batteries for the m201? I am having compatibility issues now with the m201s.

I just received a new M201 atty today for use on my Vapre51. The old one I have no issues getting a draw through and that is in fact what I use as my daily PV. I tried my new atty today when I got it and when it is fully screwed on, I get no draw through it at all. I was able to unscrew the atty slightly and get a draw, but I do not know how good this is for my equipment. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
