When you say 2 hours of battery life do you mean just sitting in the case, hooked up to the atomizer, or literally combining all the puffs you take added up to 2 hrs? I got the m4xx kit from shawn at litecig and have the batteries for a 401, a 402, and a 403 and I'm curious how long each is going to last me. Some days I'm at school for 9 hours so I need to know what I should bring to be prepared. Thx

The times are an average. So if you unplug the battery from the charger (at full) and take a vape...and then vape averagely you will get two hours of use. Therefore, if you took the battery out at 12:00pm you would lose battery function and have to plug it in again at 2:00pm if .. big "if" ... you vape averagely.

Most people will have differing results. The actual life of these batteries of total "on" time is measured in minutes (how much time the battery is activated while you draw). If you were to take a constant draw for 4-8 minutes you would kill most batteries in one HUGE puff.

If you want a battery that will go the whole day on one charge you'll need a battery mod (check the modders section) but you will not retain the "analog" look of a 510, 901, 401/2/3, etc.

Ok, so lets say I vape for 15 total min every hour, does that mean my battery will stay for 2 hours or my combined vape time, which would be 120min(2hrs)/ 15min (per hour) = 8hrs?

Vaping like that, you MIGHT get an hour before the battery dies or is so low that the vape is just not good. I get about 5 hours on my PV puffing on it 25-30 times an hour which is pretty heavy vaping. My battery has 750+mAh whereas yours is about 180mAh.

I use an Evo (which is a brand of M401). Whilst sitting at the computer or watching TV, I have been known not to put the thing down and can easily get 2.5 hours out of it, and that's using a battery that is 5 months old, so it is degrading a bit now.

Admittedly, most people believe that the Evo is probably one of the best (if not the best) M401s out there, but generally speaking, it is agreed that the battery life on the M401s is better than any other of it's size (and some considerably bigger in my experience)

Well Im just trying to duplicate how I normally smoke. When I'm sitting at dunkin donuts with my friends all night, I can smoke 1/2 - 1 pack of cigs within 4 hours or so. So i'm trying to figure out if I continue with that sort of habit vaping like I would be smoking, how many batteries I need lol. Do you all vape like you smoked? Say 5 minutes at a time? Or do you puff a couple and then set it back down?

Time as you can see is going to be relative. I did a puff count at one point and got on average 80 puffs out of the 510 battery, 160 out of the 4081, 200 out of the 401, 220 out of the EVO style 401, and about 240 from the pen/801. So with a 401 you have 200 puffs give or take and how long it last depends on how often you go after it. The smaller 402 will be less and the 403 even less.

Added: I looked up the mah on the 40X series and the 401 has 200mah, 402 has 150 mah, and the 403 has only 100mah. Since it is the same atomizer you can get an estimate by looking at puffs per mah and calculating about what you might get from the other batteries. Luckily in this case the math looks pretty easy. I wouldn't look at this as always figuring mah= puffs in all cases since different atomizers use up the mah at different rates. For example the 510 battery is rated at 180mah. Also I should add that these counts all came with relatively fresh or brand new batteries. These things all degrade over time with each new charge.

Just keep in mind that the EVO batteries are sound activated, and won't be good for use in a factory, riding a motorcycle, or similar things. The sound will set them off.

Vacuum activated or manual batteries should be used in noisy environments.
