m401 battery disassembly

hey is there a thread that has a walkthrough on how to disassemble an m401 battery

i tried searching for one but i couldnt find one and i cant seem to figure it out without breaking something

wait I have to break it?!?' I wanted to fix it. I think the juice went in it a lol to much this one time. battery holds charge it's just the sound pressure sensor thing isent working to turn the battery on.

what's the point of keeping the connector?

Roll a bit of paper towel between your fingers and then insert it into the hole in the battery. You may be able to wick up the liquid that way. I was able to revive a battery in this way. It had gone "deaf", its ear was clogged.

Taking it apart probably won't help with this issue.

There is some stuff in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecigarette-technical-issues/37013-901-auto-switch-failing.html and links that may work for you, they worked for me and other people with a 901 auto battery.

Also, make sure you get some manual batteries or a passthru if you don't have any yet.

ow I have 2 button 401 5 regular m401 and 5 m403

ya I'll try the paper towel thing I shook it like how people do with a can of dipp and used a can of duster and nothing....

People keep the connectors for making homemade PV's .

Some examples of connector and battery parts reuse: You can use the connector to make a custom passthru or a custom battery like the NicoStik (see the modders forum). Also, if you have two batteries go bad in different ways (let's say on one the auto battery goes out, and on the other the battery gets shorted and fried), you can scavenge the good parts from both batteries and put together one good battery. For example, if it's just your autoswitch failing, it sounds like you may have a perfectly good internal battery in the battery tube. it's possible every part of your battery except the autoswitch is still in good condition and could be reused.

So you can build a nicostick like this one:

The main part needed that you can't get at a local store like radio shack is the battery connector.
