For a short period my Tornado with LR atomizer is a great device, but that is just such a short time after it starts to get some burnt taste. These 510 devices also leak a lot. I almost every night prefer my m40X devices, because the flavor is constant until it's dry and I don't get that burnt taste. They never leak and are very easy to maintain and clean for a new taste.

Yeah, I must admit. The 1 original mega atty I have from 2 months ago tastes burned no matter what I soak it in or blow through it. And my friend who asked to borrow my used 401 stuff let me take a drag recently, and it tasted wayy better than my 510 mega atty even after the 2 months since I used it.

The 401 does still hit as good as they first did 3 months ago, unlike the now tounge cutting hot taste of my worn down 510. There just so big in juice capacity, I really need that refiling convenience. But yeah, its no marathoner.

The 401 is the only model I have ever used (oops - started with a 402) and I am very happy with it.

I have smoked one cig in the last 6 months and that was a matter of curiosity not crave.

That being said, has anybody tried a 401 atty on an Ego battery? Would the cone interfere with dipping?

Anyone?

=====

Edit: Anyone know atomizer voltage of 401 vs. Ego vs SB (mentioned above by Hecknaw)?

You need to do a dry burn to burn off the baked on gunk off the atomizer coil and wick.
It is the baked on gunk that makes it taste burned.

Here is how to do a dry burn...

It's super easy, and takes about 5 minutes.
You probably only need to do it once every week or two.

After you are done it will taste fine and work like the day you bought it.

I have SLB, Bauway and Joye atty's. All are "normal" as in not low The SLB one actually works the best but still not up to my M401. I've got a Hello 016 in the mail and an M601 kit coming also some adapters, more atty's of various types and some parts to build a detonator. I'm getting a volt meter tomorrow. After I have all this stuff I'll be able to troubleshoot or mod anything. I'm planning a 5V 510 detonator and a 5V M601 as well, the 601 will prolly be my design based off the Detonator.
I'm not saving any money at all... I just spend my cig money on vaping...
