Get an XXX to 401 adapter & you can use them. I use KR808-D/901 connectors for all of my mods. I have an adapter for 510s & 401s. That way, I can use 4 different type attys/2 diff. cartos on 1 mod. I like the taste of the 401s pretty much the best, but I don't like refilling them all of the time. If they would make a 401 cartomizer, I'd make 401 mods.
In addition to what Sci said, the 401 atomizer draws air through the center connector, so the mod connector had to be left open, and an air inlet in the mod. The adapters have a groove cut across the threads to allow air intake.

The 401 adapter I've got is the long one(same length as the 901 manual battery adapters). It has a hole drilled in the side for air flow. I also use one like that for my 808 cartos when I use them with mods. That way I don't have to worry if I get a little solder happy & close the center hole when connecting the + wire.
Oh, I haven't seen those. I got a little short one from HG. Yours probably has a better draw. I bought 510 to everything adapters when I saw they had one for the 401. That was the main reason I stuck with RCA adapters.

I got mine through the classifieds here. I hadn't seen a 401 adapter at all. It works great.
Check out these RCA female connectors. They have a post running through them for the +. Not the prettiest connector, but very efficient & easy for setting 401(& other) connectors in it. Cheap, too.
