when I get a new tank I disassemble and put in a bowl or cup, then pour hot water from the kettle (and might as well make a cup o coffee!), and add a drop or two of dishwashing liquid, and leave that to soak over night.

a regular fineholed household strainer has become part of my vape toolkit.
when time comes to rinse out, I pour the parts into the strainer and rinse out under the tap.

I might also use the kettle of hot water to rinse as a way of speeding up the drying time.
I leave it in the strainer to dry, over a bowl or cup.

Now I haven't had much trouble with this but I know alot of people have. I got a few new tanks and I want to be as careful as possible and wash them out before I use them. When I wash them do I wash every part except the base of the tank where the 510 connection is?
I wash all parts of a new atomizer in soap and water, then rinse them, and let air dry. It never hurts to do this as it will get rid of the oils, and possible machining burrs in the new apparatus. If you still get that machine smell to it, simply wipe down with an alcohol swab. Hope this helps!
