Really interested in picking this up at my local b&m. I like the design just curious if this would be OK on my istick 30watt? Guessing I'd have to use 30g. Opinions?

I had my Derringer clone with a single 3.0mm Macro coil using 26GA kanthal at 30 watts on my istick 30W before I sold it a few days ago and it was giving me a really good vape for 30 watts and I also used my Mephisto clone with a 2.4mm Micro coil with 26GA at 30 watts again and very similar vape but a little better, I say pick it up and put a Micro coil in it.
Yep, no need to go with high gauge wire (no harm in it either). You'll need to build specifically for the power you're limited by, but it'll vape just fine. I actually used to use an iTaste VW stick (max 11W) with my Cyclone when I needed a lightweight vape.
as long as u build you're coils 0.4 or higher the istick is fine but it really depends on high warm u like your vape.
a 0.4 coil at 30w would be way too cold for me but may be ok for u
