Hello all
I was an on again off again cigarette smoker who would go for a period of time smoking and then Nicoretting since the age of 18. Did Swedish snus (The REAL Swedish snus. Not the crap American excuse for snus) for about a year or so and if you like a tobacco delivery method then snus is great. Snus gives you an amazing nicotine hit and is fairly harmless, but I didn't like the fact that I constantly had it in my mouth. I recently got off snus for that reason but went for a trip to Uruguay where everyone smokes and started back on the cigarrettes. I hate the smell and since I started running the cigarettes where really killing me, no pun intended.
I did the whole njoy (skip it) to e-power transition and also got an automatic Volt for using in the car as I like to be able to hang it from my mouth while I drive. My brother, who initially scoffed at me for my new habit, just got a Provari with a sweet clear Phiniac glass tank with stainless caps that is absolutely beautiful.
I know there is a post here about modding the e-power cone to cover the threads while using a tank. The 3.5 ml dct tank looks great on an e-power but the visible threads bothered me.
Here is what I did and what I would do differently.
1. Buy an extra cone for ~$4 or use the cone that came with it if you plan on using only tanks.
2. Have a Dremel or steal one from a friend. Even better would be to use a grinding wheel.
3. Put your tank on the e-power and use some tape to mark where to make the cut. Mark where to cut somewhere ABOVE the bottom of the tank. I didn't do this. I didn't realize the 3.5 ml tank would actually fit down into the shortened cone. Also by cutting it this way you leave yourself a margin of error that you can always sand down.
4. Carefully dremel the cone outside your house to avoid cleanup.
5. Sand it down for a nice smooth finish.
6. Use a black Sharpie or some black paint to paint the silver edge. This really makes it look nicer and as you are ocd you want that.
7. Admire your handy-work.
See pics. I don't like to take the cone on and off so here are two pics with the shortened cone so you know how it looks.

Thanks to all the community for all the advice. This forum is filled with great info. My next step is a Provari with with the Phiniac tank to make my brother shut up and stop gloating about it.
