Oops. Did what apparently a lot of people new to vaping have done...pulled what I thought were strands of polyfill sticking to the bridge of my atomizer only to realize very quickly that it was the wick.
I stopped pulling on it immediately, but now have the wick coiled around the bottom of the bridge, in contact with what I assume is the ceramic cup. I don't really want to mess with it anymore. If I leave it like this, is it safe to vape? I read that the wick material doesn't burn at normal atomizer temps.

I've read about direct dripping, but I've also seen a few posts by people who removed the wick and then had their atomizer die immediately after. I took a few drags on it and it seems fine..just wondering if that bit of wick is going to end up burning or smoking or something terrible. TIA!

For other newbies viewing this thread - the cart filler is real 'hairy' fuzzy. the wicking is more like string although some of it can get frayed. If you see some material on the bridge or on the metal mesh - take a light tug at it and if it's polyfil it should come off easy. If not, leave it there - it's likely the wick.
