Used 30GA Kanthal on a 2mm(5/64) screwdriver 8 wraps single micro coil

1- i only have 30GA and i live in mexico so ordering different kanthal is kind of difficult so i started to do a triple twisted builds and i ended up with this wich is performing pretty good at first it was 0.7-0.8ohm but after a few vapes it jumped up to 1.1-1.2 ohm and i dont know why. any suggestions?

2- when i was twisting the wire i ended up with some bumps and i know they are bad so i didnt use that piece of wire. any tips on twisting so that wont happend?

For twisting up 30/32ga I take the strands on one side and attach to the jaws of my drill. Then I take out any slack and pinch the opposite ends with a pair of vice-grips / pliers and apply tension while I hit the power and let it spin. With some tension on either end the twists should stay nice and even.

As for the changes in res... It is normal for ohms to jump a bit higher, maybe .3 or less up or down... just depends how the ohms were read as well as how overall resistance changes while the coil is under a full load as well as when the coil is "cold" or quite hot from use. Like I said, I always get some fluctuation in ohms, though usually not quite as much as you have reported, but they tend to come back down after I pulse power to them a few times.

Also, torch your twisted wire before you wrap your coils if you have not done so. This will help relieve some of the spring allowing a tighter coil and will require less force to get it nice and tight once done wrapping. This may help prevent some breakage.

-Best of Luck-
