has anyone built one of these units? Also can you do anything different with it? Looks fairly easy

I have built about 20 of them. The only think I don't do is add the LED. I can't stand the LED's on any PV. They have a how to guide on their site, they are very easy to make. The 14500 is a very nice long lasting battery as well as being a true 3.7. Plus you can use LR atties or cartos without fear of killing them.

They do make great e-cigs. I just got some high drain batteries that are working very well. You can do anything you want with it as well. I didn't like the large switch, so i made some with micro switches and touch switches. I also recess the connector because I like XL cartridges and don't like it longer than my cell phone when in my pocket. I also like the translucent white box, the LED makes the box glow nicely without having to cut a hole for the LED.

yeah I've done a couple...
hmm different stuff huh?...
well I used one of the translucent blue boxes and left the blue LED inside so it lights the entire box...

a purple LED would give it a funky effect since it's UV reactive...

could also put a finishing washer on the stop under the atty connection which would serve as a juice catch cup : Shop The Hillman Group 5-Pack 0.594" x 0.25" Finishing Washer at Lowes.com

I also filled in the switch and atty connector side in mine with a 2 part epoxy resin which is kinda a pain because it flows like syrup but dries thick and clear and solid instead of using JB weld...it's just tricky to work with and you gotta block off everything but on the up side all my connections and wires are totally encased...

I too prefer using high drain IMR batteries in it ...

nm i found them on madvapes site. Should i get a recharger from them or a local walmart? Unable to locate the IMR high drain

regular 14500 will work if you're on a tight buget...
the high drain gives it a bit extra oomph.. they're capable of truely pushing a LR atty with no voltage sag

I got my IMR though lighthound.com....
I started with a charger from madvapes and then upgraded it to a wf-139 charger from lighthound as well...

I bought this kit and the first day destroyed the button and i thought the whole unit was junk. Last night I had a revelation and got back to work on it. ITS ALIVE! Yah I broke my button but I just use the on/off switch when I want a hit. I also had to file my batt conn. to get to the center pin. Used hot glue gun to hold stuff in place. Oh yah, DONT use a 400 watt soldering Iron like I did.
