Machine oil maybe? New RBAs need a good soak in warm soapy water and thorough rinsing before first use.

ETA: Excellent choice with the Magma, it doesn't dissapoint

I rinsed it off before I used it but no soapy water, ill make sure to try that right away, I've heard boiling the RDAs is a good idea as well, any thoughts?

I haven't ever felt the need to boil an RDA, maybe if there was some flavor stuck in the atty that just wont go away but so far this hasn't happened. Without going into too much of a chemistry lesson; soap provides a medium through which oils/fats are then able to dissolve into water. Water alone can't remove all oil residue, especially in something like a Magma where there are all kinds of nooks and corners for oil to get into. Alcohol would also work but still requires a thorough cleaning afterward.

awesome thanks everyone for the help, so i washed it in hot soapy water and then boiled it afterwards just for good measure, so far since then its been working like a champ! P.S. i think i may have tried making the coils to large and i might have been getting hits straight off the coil, not sure but i washed and toned down the coil size and its all good now
