I have that exact one. Works great, probably my favorite rda. The only problem is the 510 is long so it doesn't fit flush on my dna30. Doesn't really bother me. I ordered a 2nd one from somewhere i don't remember and the 510 was also long.

Yeah i read that , The ipv mini is spring loaded so it might sit flush on it or am i wrong?

The ipv mini has a pretty short throw to the 510. And the magma has a very long 510. The magma does sit flush on a Stingray mech, but not the ipv mini. I don't it think it sits flush on any of my regulated mods.

Sucks that it doesnt sit flush , any other clones that i should look into? This would be my first rda hence why im lookinh for a clone. Another option i had was the trident v2

I can't really help with your original question, about which RDA's will sit flush.

There are a bunch of very good RDA's out there; Magma, Plume Veil, N22, Freakshow (ugly!) Marquis, nucleus, hobo.

If you're buying from fasttech, read the DISCUSSIONS, and not the reviews. I've found the reviews to be fairly worthless, but the discussions give a LOT of good info about each device, particularly when comparing one version against another.

Read your update to post 8. 101vape is a good place to buy from.

Here's the point that's kind of relevant.

The Magma got very popular because it was the first (I think) RDA that forced the air to come up from UNDER the coils. Many of the RDA's I mentioned above do the same.

Now, this can be a mixed bag. If you overfill the dripper, it will make them more likely to leak (because the airholes are low compared to your coil). The Magma has a relatively deep well, but if your wick doesn't absorb what you drip, you can get leakage fairly easily.

Some of the others I suggested earlier also are bottom-air-feed. But not all equal. For example, the N22 has multiple small airholes, but they're very close to the cap, so it's a bit of work to get a coil in there that is over the airholes, but doesn't short against the cap.

Freakshow has a single, wide airhole, still pretty close to the cap (haven't got mine yet, on the boat from china). The Lancia airflow looks nice, but that's really going to leak if you over-drip! (Also on the boat).

Out of all the above, the Magma is really a pretty good choice! (Or the marquis, with vertical coils. This is the only one that has the right center-post screw:

I've heard/read some great things about the IGO and also the trident. Which one would be a "good" rda to start getting into dripping

Youde IGO-W 5 - 101 Vape

Trident V2 clone - 101 Vape

Good reviews on this Stillare clone too
Stillare Atomizer Clone by Tobeco - 101 Vape

I like my igo-w5's. I recently found them in my vape drawer & have been putting them in my rotation again. I think I'm going to drill out the airholes a little bigger though because they do have somewhat of a tighter draw than what I've gotten used to lately.

May I suggest the Holmes RDA by Cigreen?

It is almost identical to the Magma in design, but with improvements. The air posts are raised so they are only a few mm away from your coils and to prevent liquid from leaking even when you overdrip (which is nearly impossible to do). It is also an authentic and not a clone.

However if you are dead set on the Magma, Pegasus Vapor Academy has a 1:1 Magma clone for 25. It is a little more than FT, but I personally like supporting members of the vaping community such as Pegasus, and I can guarantee the quality is exactly what you are looking for in a clone.

I have the 1:1 version. It is nice in its craftsmanship. I have NOT seen an authentic so I can NOT say.

Fastech sells anything and from anybody. And, they don't list who the maker is so it can be a higher chance of getting something quality.

For me, I look for package products, where they have supporting items to the main item like a case, tool, spare parts, etc. I figure that it is not someone in a back alley standing at a lathe or drill press, etc. Sometimes the cheapest in price is the cheapest in quality.

I got a Magma 1:1.

Can't always trust that. Their Orchid v6 has multiple options; the 24 dollar one has a gift box and a bunch of other goodies. The 23 dollar one does as well, but I think has one less thing. Both are advertised as a 1;1, however the 24 dollar one has a 81mm chimney, while the 23 dollar one has a 78mm chimney. The 23 dollar one is actually correct, but the 24 package looks way better, It's all about what specs they have listed, as well as reviews

...Sometimes...

A lot of the time. Doesn't matter if it says 1:1 or not; read the specs. look at the chimney size. look at the total height. Look at how many pieces. Then verify that with the authentic. With FT, you have to do your homework or you'll end up with something you dont want or need.
