I have 2 Grands, well now 3. I got my Gold REO Grand today. Now like a lot of those with this 'REO Disorder', I like to switch out the doors, alternating combinations and all that fun stuff. The doors on my black wrinkle and red metallic can swap from one grand to the other. The door from my gold, fits fine on the gold but it doesn't work with my black or red. The door fits but will not line up accurately as it seems that the magnets are reversed.

Has as anyone dug out a magnet and replaced it? How are they secured? I really want to swap doors with my gold reo!

But if you are going to do it yourself....
WAIT!!!

Place your magnet on the opposing magnet....then take a sharpie and put a dot on the side that is facing you. When you are ready to seat your magnet in the glue, make sure the dot side goes against the metal, not facing out. You will kick yourself for putting it in backwards. Trust me...it's been done many times before.

Well, Rhaps, it seems only "fitting", to bring this over from that thread too . . . . . .

WAIT SOME MORE!!!!!!

if you are gluing in more than one magnet. like a matching pair. and you like to switch doors. be sure to not only set up the pair of magnets to each other, but also to the corresponding magnet on the mod you swap with. Take one magnet, call it the new door magnet, put it on the swap-mod as though it were in the door. mark the outside. Then take it's partner, put them together with the mark still outside and mark the partner on its outside, yada yada yada
