I got a magnetic protection chip with my Kamry K103. It clips to the bottom of the Kamry 18350 battery when inserting into the mod.

i have a couple of questions about this ~

> do I have to use the chip & is there any reason not to? Should it only be used with the Kamry 350's ? If I got another brand 350 should I use the chip?

> I also have an Infinite RA mod with 18650, any point in using the chip in there?

Thanks for your advice :)

I see. Thank you Mike.

You mentioned I don't need it if the battery is IMR. My Kamry batteries actually say IMR on them. So I am not sure if I need to use it with these or not. I guess safer to use the chip in this case.

Yes IMR are safe battery chemistry. But your trusting a clone maker
Mine were ICR I believe, it was so long ago. If your not running anything under 1 ohm, you should be okay. Make sure to keep the lock ring tight as well.

Telling someone that IMR is a safe chemistry is not very good advice. While it's true that IMR is a safer chemistry than ICR, they are certainly NOT a safe chemistry.

OP, I suggest using the vape safe fuse on your non-protected batteries in mechanical mods until you gain some experience and can make a more informed decision about your setup and it's use.
