Hey y'all!!!

Okay so I found a really outdated thread on fitting a kick(v1 or v2) in a magneto with an 18650 battery and there was no definitive answer. BY THE WAY, I have the newer version of the magneto.
I have been doing some research and I know that a magneto as it comes will not fit a kick(will it fit a crown kick??????????)
But I found a longer telescopic sleeve for the sigelei Silver Dragon that looks like it should be able to fit onto the magneto.

Does anybody have both of these mods and could tell me if this would work?
I really want to keep my magneto but I also want to try a kick! Please help

Thanks!

Also, if there are any other kinds of kicks that will fit in a magneto please let me know!!!

Don't have either, but do have a kick 2. Had heard that switching that tube may work, can't verify, and one guy I read was able to get the kick to work on the magneto but threads were showing with a 18650, but think he used a flat top IMR. In any event, if you have an 18490 the kick should work with the magneto with no modifications. And am surprised how much run time I can get with the kick 2 at 15 watts with a 18490 1100 mha battery. Longer run time than I can with the Provari with max output with a 18650 2000 mha battery.

Sorry can't be of more help, but own different mechs.

I have a new version (brass) Magneto sitting in front of me in 18650 mode with a flat top MNKE battery and I can tell you with near absolute certainty that a kick wouldn't fit in it as is. There just doesn't seem to be enough threading on the inner tube to allow that much space. 18490 and maybe 18500, sure.

That said, I'm not sure if switching the inner tube is something that can be done. It would depend a lot on the thread pitch and the diameter of the tube on the Silver Dragon.

Thanks to everyone who replied!!!

I tried a kick in my magneto with an 18500 last night and it didn't seem to fit because of a side pin that stuck outside of the tube. I was about to purchase an 18500 battery and the kick and I asked to make sure it fit as I was getting rung up….it didn't fit D:
I am definitely going to invest in some AW IMR 18650s.
What are some other ways to improve my magneto's performance besides a kick??

PBarsardo I think that's how it is spelled had a kick 2 in a magneto. He fed it in from the bottom of the tube so he wouldn't have to fight with the pins.

Pretty sure it's PBusardo :)

And yes, he fed it through the bottom of the telescope tube. I think he was using an 18490. I watched the video (again) the other day but I can't remember for sure.
