To my understanding, while Bloog does collect personal information and provide a checkbox to opt into their mailing list, they have not been making use of email marketing. Outside of order confirmations, customer service emails and shipping notifications I have not received any emails from Bloog. I would anticipate this is a future project for Bloog.

We do indeed have a mailing list, and in a remarkably good coincidence, I was just about to start a thread inviting and encouraging everyone to join it!

Reason being, I have just confirmed with Mike that once we are fully in stock and clear our back orders, which should be within the next couple of weeks, we will be offering a special 20% off Customer Appreciation and Loyalty sale! This exclusive account holder's coupon code will be sent in an email blast to everyone on our mailing list, and will not be available to the general public! So sign up now!

To join the mailing list, you just have to register for a customer account here: https://bloogplanet.com/customer/in...ps://bloogplanet.com/customer/home/index.asp?. When you register, you are subscribed to the mailing list by default, but can choose to opt out on the first page after registering. Obviously, I suggest you do NOT opt-out. ;)

If you already have an account, log in to your account, and check your subscription status on the first page, and click on the Subscribe button if needed.

First: Yay!! Thank you very much.
Second: Do you have a way to ensure that the general public couldn't use the code if they got their hands on one? Just yesterday riv4l sent one just to 'family' members, but within minutes it was posted out in the world. Unless of course you don't care about that.

Thanks for this info, Leaford.

Not much incentive to make an account if you do not order since there are no forums or random giveaways on the website. Not a bad thing...just saying.

If their database is set up cleanly - almost any type of information combinations are easy extract and use to apply discounts to orders without coupon codes. I know I tend to order more stuff when I get a great first order discount, or the choice of a freebie with X amount of purchase. Anyway it's very easy for them to verify that the intended only recipients get the discount by matching database qualification.

However, I imagine that any sell is a good sell. It's better to get 80% of something than 100% of nothing for the vendor. Sure it stings as a loyal customer to not feel like you get an exclusive reward for your loyalty, but realistically in this age of instant gratification, look at me look at me, firsties!, social networking keeping anything hush-hush seems unlikely.

Personally I've always been a fan of the "surprise bonus goodies" included in orders. Maybe it's just me, but I get a rush out of even the tiniest crap thing extra inside my order box. I'm all about the oOOooOOOooo out of the box experience.

I agree. Especially for us n00bs when we get started we don't know what flavors we like. Every vendor should be sending out a free sample pack of flavors we haven't tried (based on order history) to see if we like any of them. Chances are we would find a flavor we like and order a whole bunch.

I'm still looking for "That" flavor for me. It does get expensive but when I do find that vendor with "my" flavor they will be getting a big order.

Me too, unless it's a 5ml bottle of Parliament. Yuck.

A good pineapple is not bad if you are into fruit flavors.

That's part of my problem. I've had things like raspberry and mango, and they do taste just like them, and while I like to eat a mango, I just don't like to 'smoke' one. That's why I am shying away from the full packs of the Bloog 'fun flavors'. I will buy one variety pack to give them a try, but chances are I'll just stick with the others. Wish I could just have 1 red & 1 kamel to see what they are about before committing to those too.

We just got some tobacco and menthol sampler packs in. They should be posted soon. Red'll update the stock thread once that's done.
