Hoping the low cost clone will be the same, if not exact, close enough to not mind. I may eventually save nickels & get a real Reo. Presently, that's just not affordable. Hm, maybe installment buying.

Let me know how that goes for you, I'm new and looking into reos myself. Good luck!
I've got the REO grand clone and an authentic LP REO grand. The clone is decent, I ground the cup on mine down to make it an LP. It's not as well built as the authentic but it does the job. I believe all of the replacement parts for the REO also fit the clone, except for the button and button covers.

I have nothing against clones , but in this instance my advice would be save your money and get a REO , you can't go wrong with a REOS mod ever , I have clones of other mechs laying in my bone box , retired from duty by my LP Grand and Woodville , they're worth every penny .

Nice. That's what I was curious about. "Will the clone function like an authentic," I kept wondering to myself. This conveys to me that if I take fair care of the clone, it may serve me about the same as an authentic. The extra minimum $125 for an authentic merits a 50% chance one a lower cost clone for me. May save for an authentic later on, or may buy a five extra clones for the minimum extra it costs.

I am not knocking someone earning good pay for good quality product, good work. It seems difficult justifying the extra cost though to pay in essence for a name or brand, for me. Then again, I'm dirt poor.

Keeping everyone up to speed here.

NarDa

I too look at the NarDa & see it as single coil deck. I can and do use a single coil a good bit. There is nothing at all wrong in a single coil, or in using one. Think I will prefer using a dual coil deck for myself. That is though personal preference. We all have that, and not a thing wrong in it either.

Well, I can admit to a bit of chicken poop. *chuckles* Rather not bother someone to ask if they accept layaway payments. One of those kind of situations folks already know the answer to without asking. I may be wrong and may be misreading a lot, it seems though some figure it is nothing to peel a a C note or two to buy vaping gear. Not all of us can do that for whatever reason. This leaves us to look for the clones.

Yes, orders from Fast Tech take awhile. For the products you can order & at the prices, it's okay to wait 4-6 weeks. Sure, some can get the one or two C notes in that time, others cannot. Those who cannot often do have time. What is it to wait a little? I always figure Purgatory is like a doctor's waiting room. You bring a good book you're fine. I have other stuff to do while I wait, writing my own book of my life. It seems to be a fair enough book. :)

Note: I'm not disparaging anyone in this post. Nor do I feel it merited, or warranted I ought to feel debased for life's situations as such. To my eyes we are all human beings and in that, if nothing else, we're all equals. What I am posting here is an effort to present an objective view without creating, or exacerbating conflict, drama with anyone. I wrote it as sanitized as able, if it still offends, I cannot & will not apologize. You may want to consider asking yourself, "maybe I need being offended?"

Yeah, I get you. If I hadn't happened to come into some extra money at the time, I probably wouldn't have an authentic now though I'd still be wanting one.

The clone functions as it should, probably a little more voltage drop due to the different materials in firing pin and spring. The aluminum also feels a bit softer maybe, but not so soft that it can't stand up to being dropped. One thing to note, the adjustable 510 isn't reverse threaded on the clone, but I haven't had issues with it.

Ah ha's. Thank you. :) I will probably put some noalox on the spring and fire pin. Someone suggested this to aid voltage drop issues. Worse case I buy a spring and pin to swap out.

Odd as it may seem, thinking of settling on an 808 kit as well. This I can use as a simple, cheap rough out and around kit. Come home and squonk. Know it all might go sideways too. So keeping no plan as the plan.

Don't need a second favorite , just need more REOS . :)

I see how this goes now. There's a outright conspiracy to convert Mr. Morely to the church of Reo. :) Well, I'm getting there I think. Need to wait until after the 15th to get the clone kit. It sounds as though I will go on to save for an authentic, or two.

"Look Mr. Morely, no matter how much you dig in and drag your heels, you're going to use Reos. Quit fighting it, things will go easier for you." :)

The thing is since the juice is contained in the mod itself it becomes logical for a lazy man such as myself to have more than one REO , it's easier to pick up a mod than it is to change juice bottles . :) Besides that A REO with an RM2 or Chalice III on top is one hell of a flavor machine plus dam near as indestructible as a mod can get . It's easy to get hooked on them .
