Wow you are really getting thing going Jaime, very cool.

I know I'm information overload but here are some links to flavor suppliers, personally I like Bull City Vapor. They ship quickly, shipping isn't to bad and they have a fairly wide selection of different suppliers.

Good luck!

My advice...don't just buy a bunch of flavors to start with. I've got a hundred little bottles and only regularly use a few of them. Find a recipe that you think you'll like and buy the flavorings needed for that recipe. It will be cheaper and easier. Nic base, PG, and VG you can buy in quantity as you will always use those. Be sure and check out the DIY E-Liquid forum. It's a sub-forum under General E-Liquid Discussion.

Syringes and needles are fine to start with, but if you really get into DIY you might want to consider measuring by weight. My syringes are gathering dust since I got my scale. While it's not everyone's cup of tea, you can find out more about that subject here:

Hi All

Want to thank everyone so so much for all the advice. I am now hoping to make my own juice. What is the best place to purchase from?
Thank you
Jamie

I seemed to have settled on My Freedom Smokes.com. They're not expensive, but they're not the cheapest either. I've had nothing but good experience with them, and they offer a variety of flavors to choose from. I imagine they buy in bulk, sell in lower quantities at about the same price you can get from the makers themselves. The good thing is, you have a variety of flavors from multiple companies.

here's my method of DIY juice.

Get some Syringes. I get some free from the Pharmacy. I get the 10ML versions. I shopped around and found some empty 100ml bottles. Then I buy the 100mg/ml nicotine base in PG. Then I buy the PG, VG, and preferably PG based flavors.

First, I find out exactly where the 100ML level is. I do a test when I get a new bottle, and see where 100ml of water ends up to be. In my bottle, it starts just before the curve at the top where it tapers down for the nozzle. After that, I decide on the recipe. One of my go to's is %5 guava (LorAnnes) and %5 vanilla custard (Capellas) and I use a 6mg/ml of nicotine. First, I add 6MG of nicotine from the syringe... use gloves for this. I then wrinse out that syringe and put the nicotine and syringe in a ziplock bag and put back in the fridge. Then I add 5mg of Guava, and 5mg of Vanilla custard, and again, rinse those out and put the syringes with the corresponding flavors. I should have 16mg of "flavored base" in the 100ml bottle. Usually, I just fill the rest with VG for a heavy VG based juice, but if I wanted a 50/50 based juice, I add 34ml of PG and then fill the rest with VG. Since I stick with multiples of 100 (100mg/ml nicotine base, and 100ml bottle), there's not much math involved and makes it easy to replicate. If I wanted to make a smaller batch, I could, but it would require a calculator. I tend to use just two size bottles (100ml as the main mixing bottle, and 30ml for the pocket version)... I've done the math to at least approximate a mixture in a 30ml bottle (1.8ml for the nic strength, and in my above example 1.5ml of each flavor. Throwing an odd size bottle would just make things tough.

Just my way of mixing, everyone has their own. The only thing everyone would probably agree with, is use Nitrile gloves when handling the Nicotine. You don't need the gloves for the flavor, but if you don't, your hands may end up smelling like custard or guava for the rest of the day. :) Also, keep in mind, every flavor has it's own % to make it good. Just because Guava is good at %5, doesn't mean that menthol or anise would be good at those levels... for any new flavors, start low and add to it.

Funny related story... I gave my friend some menthol crystals to add some menthol to his store bought juices. Even though I warned him to put very little in, he didn't understand what "little" meant. he put a fairly large menthol crystal (about the size of a pin) in his 30ML bottle and mixed. One vape and his sinuses were cleared ... along with his tear ducts... he had to get a new coil for his atomizer after that. :)

I used Nicotine River for my DIY supplies, and I was very happy with what I purchased. I don't think they are the most inexpensive supplier, but they are reasonable and prompt.

I'd suggest starting small with a few flavors you think you may like, or even enjoy combining, and go from there. That's what I did and it's working out well so far... I have yet to buy a sweetener, but I really *ought* to at some point, I'm holding off because I don't want to gunk my coils too much.

Start small, let it steep at LEAST 24--48 hours before even trying it, steep with bottle open, and closed, and do plenty of shaking every few hours for a while, some flavors take time (up to a month, really) to get going, some are faster (Mixed Berry, I am talking to you!) I use Flavor art flavors as my flavorings, and started at a ridiculously low percentage, but recently bumped things up a bit, and I'm liking about 3--4% flavorings, but everyone's different and I'd been vaping a while so my taste buds had come back. I don't even like storebought that much anymore, unless I'm mixing a tiny amount into my tank....Too intense and harsh.

I like to mix flavors IN my tank, too, I'll progress from say coconut, to caramel, or coco to Bavarian cream, to mixed berries, I try to run a flavoring profile that will work as the juice is sucked from my tank.... I've made a few horrendous mixes, but all it costs me is a tank of juice, LOL. Much better than a 30 ml bottle of flavoring.

Best of luck, I wear gloves when handling all my liquids, I just like to be cautious, though nic at 100 mg/ml really isn't going to poison you if you get some on you, just wash it off quickly.

Good luck!

Anna

A word about DIY, for the first six months of vaping, most folks are getting their vaping legs (finding the best set up for them and getting to know the type of flavors they enjoy most), might want to wait the 6 months or so until you feel you are ready.
If your vape equipment is stable and you have a known/predictable responses to several e-liquids mixes, your chances of DIY success will be greater. Above all, DIY tends to work best and reward those who to wait patiently.
Might want to start studying:
Here is a quick look into DIY, might like to visit:

You're gonna be told not to go out and buy a bunch of flavors "You think you might like."

I will disagree a little bit. It's ok to buy a bunch of flavors, but buy the ones you do like.

If you have been cooking for a while, you already know about the building blocks--those things you can't cook without.

DIY is no different. If you stick with, say, 6-10 things you know you're gonna like together, it's hard to mess up.

I'm a sucker for bakery and beverage flavors. So, chocolate, caramel, graham cracker, cream, coffee, nutty stuff, vanilla, favorite fruits... all are building blocks and can be combined or used by themselves.

Start small. Make 10ml batches so you don't end up with 50ml of nasty.

If you can step into a stocked kitchen and cook a great meal from scratch, you can make OMG Good juice.

Here is the first recipe I ever made and hooked me on DIY. It also flavors you will use in other recipes. If you like custard or creamy consider buying these flavors to start.

Strawberry Ripe TFA 10%
Bavarian Cream FW 3%
Cheese cake graham crust TFA 5%
Vanilla custard FW 2%
Ethyl Maltol 1 drop per 10ml

Good as shake and vape better with a 2+ week steep

She's located near enough to Wizard Labs that she could order everything online from them to get started with DIY, when she knows she'll be in the area the next day. She just needs to choose the "pick it up" option during Checkout. They might still even give tours of the place, and that should be interesting to a newbie DIYer!
