If you're using high VG percentages you need to mix it very well. Heat the mix in a warm tap water bath and shake like crazy. Also VG tends to mute the flavor a bit, I've always used a 50/50 mix for the best of both worlds. Careful adding more flavor, adding too much can mute the flavor and give the juice a soapy, perfume taste.

I made my first DIY juice today. 18mg, 20%PG, 70%VG, 10%Water. It is a learning curve. I made two flavours, Brandy and Peach. I could not tell the difference! I added quite a bit more flavouring. I started with 5 drops in 10ml. I added 15 more. It is better now, still a little light.

With that much VG, it won't carry much flavor. I use a 50/50 VG/PG blend and start at 10% on flavor. You should definately use a calculator like E-juice me up. You can get it here for free.

Maybe I will try a higher PG ratio. From various reviews and forums I get the feeling that VG is safer or less unhealthy than PG. Given that I am not smoking, I guess that is pretty much irrelevant anyway. I did use a calculator. In fact it is the one you suggest. I verified it with a spreadsheet to be sure. It was spot on. I like the eJuice Me Up calculator it is easy to use.

Funny you mention that soapy perfume taste. That is a perfect description of how one of the blueberry juices I bought tastes. I even mixed a little of it with banana flavour and it is just way overpowering. Totally drowns out the banana.

Could be too much flavoring, or it may just need a couple days steeping. That is leave the bottle open in a cool spot and air out some.

I don't know exactly what brand of flavoring you are using but peach is usually 12-15%. With what you have listed I calculated somewhere around 10% so that may be why it is a little weak. I prefer mine weak myself. You can use a juice calculator or browse others recipes. Here is the place where I found a bunch of help and the DIY threads on ecf are wonderful. Good luck to you in your mixing. I have had a good time experimenting and it is pretty easy to make something up that you like.

Thanks for the good wishes. I have only just started mixing my juice. I was impressed with the results. I purposely made it weak to see how it was. I was surprised that I could not even tell the difference between the two flavours. You are right, even after adding flavor, it is still weak. I am using Lorann flavors.

If your new to DIY, I suggest you find a couple of recipes you like online, there are a few E juice recipe sites plus the boards. Buy those flavors and follow their recipe exactly, most use the free program called "EJUICE ME UP". They have done the hard part and experimented for you. I found a Mother's Milk clone followed it exactly and while it isn't exactly right not a bad vape for my 3rd bottle of DYI juice.

For me, some flavors have their own sweet spot. For instance when i make TFA tobacco, it is best at around 5-7%. When i make MBV Thug juice it is best around 15-20%. Not sure if that variation is due to specific flavors or specific vendors but when i am testing flavors i always start around 10% flavor.

i say crank up your flavor % but that's just me. Good luck:vapor:

That was one of my first flavors I made. It was Blueberry (Wild) from TFA. For the longest time it wasn't very good at all. I just put it away in the cabinet and forgot about it. A month and a half after I made it I tried it and Wow it was really enjoyable. With my DIY juices I mix them and put them away in a dark cool place for a minimum 2 weeks more like a month some Vanilla custards 4-6 weeks. I have juices to use in the meantime. When I go into some of my mixes after a period of time they are fantastic. I guess not everyone can wait that long. Good luck Mate!!
