Making a custom box out of a k box

So I'm getting a new regulated box mod and I want to use all the wiring and components from my old kanger kbox to make myself a custom box(like as in taking all the innards/working parts of the kbox out of the shell/box and putting them into a either a new wood box/shell or a new glow in the dark epoxy resin box/shell). I will be making the shell/box myself and though I haven't come to a final decision on the design of the box yet, I am still extremely excited because I'v been planning on making a custom box for quite some time now.

My question is, would this be do-able? I don't need it to be easy, just possible(though easy would give me more time and patience to make the box look like a beauty)

Has anyone else tried doing this? and what were your experiences

Any information or links even slightly related to making this would be greatly appreciated.

as long as you know what wires go where then it is entirely possible to put the innerds in whatever box you can think of even make it a parrellel bow with multiple batteries for better battery life i have pland for a dna200 chip to be put into a sigelei 100 watt box as soon as it quits working whenever that may be the only thing that has to be the same would be the wiring other than that moving the position of components and such is up to you.

Why don't you just build a new box around the existing kbox? Heck, if it's really well designed you could probably sell a million of 'em on fleabay.
