Here are some pics of my DSL Filter Passthrough, works with just the negative and positive connections at the connector.

The center connectors (at least on 510s) are positive. The outside shell is ground. The switch, since you are probably not using any MOSFET circuitry, must be rated for 3.0 amps. I use the switch on the positive side of the connection. Also, get a 2.0 amp power supply (wall wart) so you don't trash your usb ports on your computer. Now you have a "5v" direct PT. NO BATTERY! This works for a direct PT, not a battery-PT, and is 5volts ish. Use a thick USB cable.

No resistor required, unless you get waaaay too many amps out of the wall wart. Someone will have to verify the KR808 postivie/negative. But in reality, the atty doesn't care which direction the current flows. It is customary (and smart) to make the outside shell a ground.

I also like to put a 470 ohm resistor and LED in on the atty side of the switch. switch->LED->resistor->ground. The short lead on the LED goes to the ground side (they only work in one direction).

This is what I do for 510s. Standard ohm atties.

There are already a ton of posts in the modder's forum with pictures that will help ya.

Good Luck!

AttyPops, also in your assessment of the power supply specs, I have noticed that at least 550 mah rating is needed. I found this to be the bare minimum. I found 700 mah to 1000 mah work much better.

mah is a battery capacity rating. As noted, the power supply should be 2.0 amps (2000 ma). Get a wall wart; I don't suggest using a computer's usb, since this is very hard on them. The wall wart is $10.00, the computer.... much more.

This seems like I'm getting much better vape using the charger for a power source..
I wonder if I was getting a true 5v from the usb on my pc?

You're getting 5v, but not enough amps. That's why the charger works better... amps.

Using your computer, you must remember that it has to be a USB 2.0 port. USB 1.1 will not work properly because the amps are too low. Some articles say you have to connect the 2 data lines together in order for your computer to give you the correct amps but I have not have a problem with mine.

If they are connected, a resistor is needed. See the modders section for a discussion and the ohm ratings of the resistor. Don't just short them together. Some say it works, some say not needed. I don't really recommend using a computer anyway. Again, a 2.0 amp wall wort is $10.00........
