Hi
I started making my own e-juices a few weeks ago, still learning, still buying more flavours.
I use laetrile gloves when working with 72mg nic mix (I onluy use PG)
Flavours: I have bought from Perfumer's Apprentice, FlavourArt UK, T-juice (for their Colonel Custard, which is yummy!)
Also I keep buying 30ml bottles with needle tips for mixing, and I just recently got 10g of Ethyl Maltol crystals which made (with PG, v.cheap) ~170ml of sweetener.
I calculate percentages on a calculator on my phone, not an online affair just because I enjoy doing math lol. At the moment I use 20% flavour and on about 13mg nicotine.

My All Day vape is sweet cherry+peachy custard, which is curing nicely (I use the term curing as that is what you do to: tobacco;tea;vanilla beans;salami), not steeping which is what you do to a teabag in hot water or a rosemary twig in olive oil. Nicotine oxidises flavourings which changes the colour - seems like curing to me

Anyway, this is my first thread. AMA

Check out the Gourmet and the Super Concentrated flavorings at Vaping Zone. I have been using them for a good while and have been very pleased with the results. Cost a tiny bit more but since you use 1-3% (or less) in a juice, I think it is even more economical. Just my 3¢ (inflation). Have fun with all the DIY.

You will have a great time creating your own flavors for you and your friends. There are a bunch of good juice calculators out there that make things easier. Not just the math but for making notes and remembering and repeating recipes.

One thing I have done to make mixing a lot easier and more accurate is to switch to a weight based system. It is just so much cleaner and more precise. I wish some one had turned me on to it when I began so I didn't waste so much money on syringes and other lab wear. Check out this thread for more information. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/492182-mixing-weight-you.html
