Hey guys, the other day I got a supposedly like new ZAU (Z-Atty Universal) on a trade on the classifieds... when I received my atty I was shocked to see the condition of the atty....it appears that Zen made a video telling everyone that had an issue with their attys to use super glue to stop the insulator from popping. Up...
some people just didn't get the process and obviously flooded the positive pole and insulator with glue making the atty useless by diminishing the attys current...keep in mind that the Z-Atty has a multiple contact point positive pole, floating pin, spring , screw and nut post. Its bad enough that if any ejuice gets in there and gunks up, the contact points ability to carry the current is weekended and glue on top just kills it compleatly...
I wanted to send it back to the member and beat the crap out of him for deceiving me but being the tinkerer that I am, I decided to keep it and work on the atty because of its beauty. plus It looks great on 22mm mods..
I took it apart and cleaned all the glue off with a fine sanding pad. changed all the orings to the correct size. removed the floating pin post and spring..last but not least installd a solid 2 point A to B brass positive pole..
I must say that I'm happier then a pig in Sh@!t but I do want to install everything brand new......new insulator, positive pole, and nuts, You get the point.
Here are the before and after photo's of the transformation....
