I believe that I have figured out one thing that I don't like about certain tobacco flavors. 'Caramel', funny thing is that I like caramel in candy. I bought some caramel flavoring for e-juice and yuck! It also sort of reminded me of a couple of the tobacco flavors that I did not like. So I am figuring that I should try to make a tobacco flavor with NO CARAMEL.

So, how to do it. That is the question.
I read on another thread about 'Seedman Commercial concentrate' and tobacco absolute.
Then I'll add a little sweet and or cocoa and see what happens.

Looking for any thoughts. In particular though, if I use the Seedman concentrate, do I really need the tobacco absolute?

Or, maybe there is another way someone would suggest?

Thank you,
JR

My tob4, tob5, and tob6 all use Seedman Commercial concentrate as the base, with a little tobacco absolute diluted to perk it up.

tob4: 15% Seedman Commercial, 4 drops tobacco absolute diluted added per 10ml of final eliquid. This is a very firm, "ashy" tobacco.
tob5: 15% Seedman Commercial, 3% Capellas or Natures Flavors Hazelnut, 2 drops TA diluted per 10 ml. This is a much smoother tobacco, the hazelnut adds a nice note to it. (I also don't like a straight tobacco with caramel, it just doesn't work for me)
tob6: Seedman Commercial, Natures Flavors vanilla, Natures Flavors caramel, TA at 2 drops per 10 ml. The precise mix is at home, but the caramel isn't too dominant.

Vanilla Tobacco. This is my all-day every-day. 12% tpa tobacco blend alc (= TA with ethyl maltol), 8% Natures Flavors vanilla.

Natures Flavors are from their coffee bean flavoring system, under Organic.

Thank you very much. That gives me a good head start.

A fairly simple mix, commercial cig concentrate plus some TA, I just shake a lot and vape. You'll get a bit of change over time, but not too much. Same with my own daily, vanilla + tobacco blend alc; I mix it fresh, don't sweat steeping.

Didn't use any 'TA', but there is something else other than the comm. concentrate in it. As soon as I know it is not horrible I will let you know. ☺

Take 10% ethyl maltol ( buy at tpa already mixed) and put either tobacco absolute or (better) tobacco extract two drops of 50:50 or 1 drop of pure (not recommended too viscus ) per 10 ml. ( use TA or TE prebought that is diluted 50:50 with alcohol this is much easier to work with)

Mix thoroughly and steep before using overnight.

Take the resulting sollution and use it about 3% to add to tobacco mixtures.

Works great although I like TE and am thinking about upping this ratio.

Hi Mark,

You were so kind to stir me in the right direction that I thought I'd post what I came up with.

I was trying to copy a particular vendors one tobacco flavor that I like very much. I just vape too much to purchase at the retail price all the time. I knew there was a cocoa hint in it. Maybe more than a hint but certainly not over done. There description said it was very basic (or something like that). That is what prompted me to start this thread. When you mentioned Seedman, I thought that might be what they meant by 'basic'. There description also mentioned a little sweetener and cocoa.

I got to the Seedmen site and found the 'TOB506 Commercial Cigarette I started looking at the other flavors and saw there 'TOB503 Cocoa Extender. The description of this was very similar to what I was looking for "Sweet chocolate". I thought to myself, I wonder if they just used these two to make that?

So I got both and made a mix. 12% commercial cig and 3% of the cocoa extender. With that combination the cig over powered the cocoa a little to me so I tried 12% cc and 5% ce. When I tried that is seemed to be a little to sweet. Now I thought I was getting close. Just a little two sweet.

I went back to 12%cc and 3%ce and added 2% of Flavorarts Cocoa. I thought that might do the same thing as the 12%cc and 5%ce only not quite so sweet. That did it!!!

So my final receipt is 12% commercial cig, 3% cocoa extender and 2% Flavorarts cocoa. I do think that 1% FA cocoa is all that I would have needed to make it match the one I was buying but I like it this way even better.

This is REALLY good. You mentioned you also don't care much for caramel. I think you should try this. Maybe just 1% FA cocoa, or try it with just the cocoa extender from Seedman. Even if you don't like chocolate tasting vapor (which I don't, I tried just chocolate and didn't like it at all). There just seems to be something about combining it with the Seedman commercial.

To all others that are reading this. It is really really good. (but if you don't like a little sweetness, you are not going to like this)
