Hi, after reading some posts on ejuice, it seems to be alot cheaper to DIY vs pre-made/ordered ejuices. Can someone please steer me in the right direction on how to get started? I.e What kind of supplies to buy and how much as well as the basic mixing concepts. I've only been vaping for 3 weeks and already wasted 60 bucks on some horrible tasting pre made juice :( I've ordered some online, but it is taking forever.

I apologize in advance if this post is already somewhere else (fairly new to this forum as well) If you think making my own is too much trouble and/or a waste of time, let me know and reason why pls? Just looking for advise from anyone whom has experience. thx

This forum has a huge DIY section, DIY E-Liquid

All kinds of helpful information there, and some important safety information you should read as well. Also, DIY isn't necessarily cheaper. Flavourings bought in Canada tend to be 2x the price as the U.S. (though you could import no problem), and you'll waste a lot trying to develop your own recipes.

I DIY a few, and I still buy a few. Everyone goes through the "spend tons of cash figuring out what juice you like" phase, and you've just started it.

This is 200% true, oddly enough I've found that when I order from inawera flavouring out of poland......the shipping is cheaper than in canada shipping, I have no idea how royal polish air mail does it. I'd imagine they use a folker dr III with bandage patches on the wings or something.

Not sure where you are buying your flavor from but I suggest you look around. 30ml Capella for $6.99 or 30ml Flavor Art for $9.99 seems to be good prices to me. Flavourfog has a great selection.

I have looked around.

Most new DIYers start off with 10ml bottles of flavouring until they figure out what they need/want, and those tend to have outlandish prices. $6.99 from FF v.s. $3.75 from rts or $1.49/8ml TPA from WL, you start seeing that Canadian vendors charge a small fortune per ml for smaller bottles of flavours.

I will depend on what flavours you like but, I have found stores such as Golda Kitchen and Low Carb Grocery to be a good source for flavourings.

I've ordered from low carb before, pretty quick service.

The other thing that drives me bananas, other than paying higher prices on avg for flavourings, there is no one Canadian vendor that carries complete lines. You end up having to order from more than once place, which is fine, except for the shipping rates.

Anyway, it is what it is, and DIY is a bit of hobby and still cheaper than buying smokes, so it's all good. Now, if someone could help me clone muppets blood, I'd be in my glory. :)

DIY eliquid is cheaper no matter how you look at it. I'm at 7 cents per ml. It's quite easy too, find USP Propylene Glycol, USP Vegetable Glycerin, nicotine at 60mg or 100mg, don't go over 100mg, it's not worth it, too dangerous, nicotine is a poison. Better to use glove when handling it, keep away from children and if you store it in a fridge it will last like forever. Also find syringues and/or pipettes with empty bottles. Finally, you just need flavorings, it's cheap on the website of the company (perfurmer's apprentice, lorann, etc.), better to not buy flavorings that contain oil and diacetyl.

Now you have all the ingredients and tools, just need to mix it together. There's a lot of website for that:

Pre-made liquid are awesome though, I'm not able to reproduce what they make but I'm satisfied with my own liquid :)
