Malic Acid...Help me out

Today I got some Malic Acid....I'm really excited. One more DIY item I have "needed."

Please give me the 411 on it. How do I dilute it? What flavor % is it good at?

I can't wait to try this with Sweet Strawberry.

It makes things taste Sour.

Keekers, you want to get it at around 20% (that's what TPA mix theirs at)
Thus 2g malic acid per 10ml PG (or 1/2 tsp in 10ml PG)
It dissolves fairly slowly, 1/2 hr to an hour - I suggest you heat your PG in a hot water bath to assist in the dissolving.

Mostly it's used to help the fruit flavours pop at around 1-3 drops of your MA solution per 5 ml of your DIY juice (higher than this, you will start to taste the sour!)

You want to lean towards 2-3 drops per 5ml for fruits, and 1-2 drops per 5ml for tobaccos.

The guys over in the vinegar thread reckons Apple Cider Vinegar at 2 drops per 5ml in tobacco juice is the bomb!

Sure, Lots of People put Lemon Juice in the DIY Masterpieces.

And when people started to make a conection with Acids to DIY Flavor Changes, threads like this were Born.

No Problem.

Also, Vinegar works Great to Soak Attys or Filler-Less Cartos for Cleaning. Cheaper than Soaking in PGA or even Vodka.
