I would like to say that if this is the incorrect place to post this, I apologize. Meant no harm, promise.

I work at a mall kiosk selling electronic cigarettes. So, as a horribly curious individual, I decided to sign up for the forum to explore how others feel about mall kiosks that sell e-cigs. The reactions I got were exactly what I expected. Lots of you have your own personal stories about the kid at the mall kiosk who knows nothing about electronic cigarettes besides what he/she is told to parrot people passing by. They insist their product is the best and top of the line even when you bust out your own modded one that produces more vapor in one drag than theirs in two/three/fifty-million drags. It actually makes me angry that these people are doing this. While it's a decent way to get the word out about this alternative, it's just as bad (If not worse) than the crappy ones sold at convenience stores! They buy it, realize it is awful, then think the entire concept is a scam!

I want you all to know that there are people who do this job that do care about being honest, and doing their ****ing research. I've been working for this particular company for nearly a month, and LOVE being able to introduce people to electronic cigarettes as an alternative to smoking, and as an easy way to quit even! I try to not be what I'm seeing you all hate in this forum. Not that it's hard. Just cut the bull and be honest, right?

So, my rant/plead/whatever aside, share your experiences with mall kiosks? Tell me what you'd like to see improved at the ones you've visited? I won't be mentioning the one I work at, obviously.

All up in your grill..
Hi Scoot and welcome to the board. It can actually be a helpful resource in your work by advertising the kiosk in the supplier section. I have had some success doing so, personally. You must first register as an offline supplier and you absolutely cannot discuss business in any other part of the forum. You must contact misty@ e-cigarette-forum. com to register. (that's her email, just remove the spaces.) There is a form to fill out and you must pay a fee. ECF may allow you to continue to be a member without having supplier status. (As it does cost something) But if you go that route you cannot post topics like this. Also please note that only one member of any given e-cig company is allowed access to this forum. Unless they are forum suppliers which is nearly impossible to accomplish with your business model.

The general perception of kiosks is pretty negative among seasoned vapers. But I am here (after doing this for almost four years) to tell you that it can be overcome, if you are honest with people and sell good products. Good luck in your career. I am always pleased to see that I am not the only kiosk worker who looks beyond the marketing literature. :)

ETA: be careful about calling it a "way to quit" these products are not currently legal to market for cessation.
