Dead thread, BUT. Since I stumbled upon it.
They want to equate e-cig usage to cigarette smoking. They are currently waiting to hear something about the fda, what they have to say about it. But it seems that the fda is doing the opposite and allowing cities to make their own decisions. At the current time they are not banned, just like any other city. We have a head
shop that sells e-cigs and juices at premium prices. But that shop is busy. Every time I've gone in there, there has been probably 10+ people looking at e-cigs.
So essentially, their defense is that they see secondhand vape to be as dangerous as secondhand cigarette smoke.
I do not believe that they are protecting cigarettes, I do not see where you came up with that either. You should not add fuel to a fire by putting words in the opposing side's mouth.
Colleges are not allowing e-cigs either. But that doesn't mean they're supporting smoking. They're getting rid of a distraction from the students.
So, as of right now, e-cigs are not banned but the fate shall be decided in 2014. And I don't think I'd care if they were. They'll still be available at the shops, just can't try out a
juice. Just like any online vendor.
