Manual 901 Report Thread

As many know, the new manual switch 901 batteries and passthroughs are about to hit supplier's stores. I'd like to use this thread for people to report back on regarding their experience with these items. Many of us would like to know if these batteries are sealed for dripping or if they have the holes in them still. Also what is the cut off time, if any at all, on the manual switches. So if anyone has one of these items already, please report in!

Hello, reporting in myself here. In receipt of 1 901 manual passthrough. Giving my thoughts......NO the battery is NOT sealed. The quality is of the same "China" quality as the automatic. The only difference is it has a sleek manual button to push on it. A definite YES on the manual gives more control and a better vaping experience than the automatic. The button is nice and firm on it, so I can't see it going off on it's own very easily. You do have to take a nice push on it. I personally think they MIGHT hold up a little longer than the automatics because of the switch getting stuck on those so easily with juice. However, the quality of the wire and all that coming apart at the LED could still pose a problem. I'm still thinking it might be wiser to pay triple the money, but get PS's manual built in the USA. I'm sure it would last longer and have a much better wire on it. But these are fine in a pinch.

I'd be curious now once we have the manual 901 batteries, now this device will stack up to the 510. However, I believe the 510's are sealed and the 901's aren't. I wish they would have sealed these.

you can seal it yourself if you have 2 hands and a soldering iron.

I also got the manual passthrough today and I think it freakin rocks!! I have never been a big passthrough user but this is nice. The PS one does look like it is made better...you know the old saying...you get what you pay for

One thing you always want to watch on manuals is that when you leave it plugged in to your computer or power pack and walk away, be sure that switch is never stuck cuz it will blow your attys. Usually I just unplug when I walk away for any length of time.

Use plain old bathroom caulking to fill the battery hole if you do not soilder---works every time------Sun

So fill down INTO the hole or just the top part?

yeah, it would work. but you'd wanna use 5 minute stuff so there wouldn't be fumes for hours and hours.....honestly soldering is way better. Find a local techie and give him your passthroughs and tell him to plug your holes.

EDIT: yeah, that's a good idea Sun....caulking good too. I like caulking

I haven't seen any manual 901 batteries yet, but I ordered a manual 901 P/T from Good Prophet (in the suppliers forum) yesterday. He also had 801 manual P/T's. (And the price was good.)
