Manual bat's with the hole in the 510 connector... can I seal them?

If you plug the hole the PV won't work because it needs an air flow to power the coil/atomizer. I believe there is a switch in the battery casing that senses when air is being drawn and then that allows the battery to come on. If you want a battery with no hole you will have to get a manual battery.

I just reread your question and you said "manual" battery. I thought you were talking about an auto batt. I don't think there are holes in the manual battery connection. I'm confused.

It's not only OK to seal the hole in a manual battery housing, it's advisable to prevent possible liquid leakage into the battery compartment. I have 510 batteries both with and without the hole from the factory.

When building mods, having the hole makes it a bit easier to solder wiring, and I then use the solder to plug the hole. Never had any problem due to this.
