Manual Batteries Only - Ever Done the Ecig Equivalent of Lighting the Filter?

Anyone else ever walk outside in the evening, whip out their PV, press the button, and discover the brightly colored LED is between their lips?

Yep. So annoying! I figured out that it was because the button on my kr8 is exactly at the midpoint of the PV when a carto is attached, so without looking it's not clear which way to spin it to get the business end. Just got my pigcig in the mail today so it's unlikely I'll be making that mistake again .

I haven't done it with a manual, but did it a few times when i was still using my KR8 autos.. I guess it is a bit harder to do when using a tornado/ego, since they aren't the same shape as a analog, since I haven't done it with them yet.

when i used to smoke cigs i was on my back porch late at night in a thunderstorm no less(the things i did for a nic fix) got out a camel put it to my lips lit it up only ot discover tobacco in my mouth complelty ruined lol..

I've only been vaping since Saturday but have done this a couple times. Noticed I only did it though when I had the round cart on. I'm using the flat carts now as it's more comfortable and I don't 'light' the wrong end

Another reason why a nice 5 volt or VV PV is so good, lol. Will never be confused which is the right end.

I have a non led black 510 that I'm always hitting backwards......try to take a drag and nothing...ooops again wrong end!

i have the 510 mega and the button is almost at the mid point. i don't do it when a drip tip is on. really just when i have a cartridge. even worse i have tried to put a lighter to mine a few times. i always realized it right before i melt the end.

man old habits are hard to break!!!

Done it a few times with auto battery, haven't done it yet with my Riva batteries though (thank god).

I have however played the "let's guess what is in this cartomizer" game and lost big time! I had a little juice on my fingers and was hard to tell by smelling the carto because of that. I figured, WHY would I possibly EVER have an empty carto out of it's packaging with the rest of my full cartos. Twist it on, hit the button, take a quick little hit, and almost puke as the taste of burning filler hits my mouth. People who say it is a taste you will never forget, are absolutely right!

Needless to say, I am now marking them all, and going to use MistressNomad's little tip of using orthodontic rubber bands to color code.

oh thats so funny. It reminded my something my wife did when we use to smoke analogues; we we're watching a movie and having a few drinks, she went to take a drag of her already light smoke and burned her lip.

That was priceless. At least now that we a vaping, she won't burn herself if she tries that again.

I've done that with pens, crochet hooks (you'd think that wouldn't be possible), and one of those thin Crayola markers!
