Manual battery died

I received my KR808D-1 starter kit a few days before Christmas so roughly six weeks ago. So far I am quite surprised how happy I am with it. Picked up a sampler from "vapors etc" and so far have tried Coffee, Vanilla, and Hazelnut. Hazelnut is my favorite of the 3, with coffee close behind but I didn't really like vanilla all that much. I haven't been completely smoke free though, I want to say I've had around 1.5 packs since I started using the e-cig. Despite that, the starter kit and the juice have already paid for themselves. As an added bonus, my girlfriend loves that I don't wear my "Marlboro cologne" anymore.

The biggest downfall though is that one of my batteries quit on me about a week ago (which is out of warranty). It'll charge for about 2 hours (normal according to the user guide), but it won't vape at all. I've messed with it a little bit, and I noticed that on 3-4 different occasions I pressed the button and quickly released it. The LED would go on for about 3/4 of a second (I could hear something cooking) then flash 5 times and not do anything. I could be wrong, but it sounds like I over-dripped and fluids went up into the electrical connections causing the system to short circuit. Does anyone have any remedies for this? Or, if that doesn't work, can anyone tell me how to take it apart? The battery is already not in working condition, so worst case scenario I mess something up and throw it away. But, if I do take it apart I could possibly find what's wrong with it and/or go crazy with it and make a usb passthrough or something. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks Dormouse, I'll take a look at that.

MichelleDen, the manual battery I picked up is not sealed, so I figured the liquid would move enough for just a second to light the LED before it shorted out again and the battery went into "short protection mode" but it could also be something as simple as a solder point broke.

Either way, thanks for the replies
