Manual battery died

I bought a starter kit in December and one of my batteries quit on me about a week ago roughly 5 weeks old (which is out of warranty). It'll charge normally, and if I unplug it and plug it back in it will show it remains fully charged, but it won't vape at all. I've messed with it a little bit, and I noticed that on 3-4 different occasions I pressed the button and quickly released it. The LED would go on for about 3/4 of a second, I could hear something cooking for about a second, then flash 5 times and not do anything. I could be wrong, but it sounds like I over-dripped and fluids went up into the electrical connections causing the system to short circuit. Does anyone have any remedies for this? Or, if that doesn't work, can anyone tell me how to take it apart? The battery is already not in working condition, so worst case scenario I mess something up and throw it away. But, if I do take it apart I could possibly find what's wrong with it and/or go crazy with it and make a usb passthrough or something. Thanks a bunch!

This is a manual KR808D-1 battery that was not sealed. I tried wiggling out the adapter with a carto but couldn't get it with or without heat.
