I got my manual M401 batts yesterday and charged both over 8 hours but neither turned the charger green, is that normal?

No. Before I screwed it in the LED was green of course. Once I screwed it in the LED on the batt blinked(thats normal) and the LED was briefly orange then turned red. After charging for more than 8 hours the LED was again orange. Maybe that means charged?
That also happend to me on my m403 charger, Im guessing that "yes" its done charging, what I noticed is that when its done charging it will blink red and green for awhile ,then If its on the charger for a longer period of time it turns orange..I think thats normal ..
Ok...cool! I been hitting it all morning and the batt seemed fine so I figured it must be normal.
