Hi all!

I'm new here on forums and this is my first post! I've been vaping for probably 2 and a half months and I've been analog free since then!

Anyways, I wanted to talk to you guys about the different versions of Vivi's out there. I myself own the mini vivi nova and the V2. I wanted to know more about the many versions because I'm very confused with all the different vendors all posting different info on all of them. I wanted to know the differences between the MINI Vivi Nova (2.0 and 2.5 and now possibly the V3?) and also the differences between the 3.5ml tank versions (V2, 2.5, and V3) I've been googling and calling different places for more info but it seems like everyone else is as confused as I am. I wanted to know how you can distinguished between each of them? Which one is better? Any major differences? Are the atomizer heads interchangable with each other? Why is it that some people have the same version Vivi's but the atomizer heads are different for example I'm reading some reviews about the Vivi Nova 2.5 and for some people the atomizer head comes with the flat funnel cap while others received the tiny pin coned cap even though they're both 2.5? And another example is the Vivi Nova V3, I see different vendors posting pictures and I see that the air holes are on the bottom base of the screw cap while others show the air holes on the 510 connector but both are advertise as V3?

Gahh so many questions please help!

I do know that newer versions have longer wicks and some newer version have tanks more resistant to cracking with those juices that are prone to making them crack. I think those are the 3.5s I also think v4 is coming in march. Not sure. I can't imaging using a short quick tank. I had that with earlier models of my srardust type tank and long wicks are so much better.

Yeah I heard the newest version V3's have better resistant tank material but at the same time all three of the 3.5ml versions V2, 2.5, and V3 look identical. I also read that many vendors advertise their 2.5's as the V3.

So deceiving!

I always buy the genuine vision vivi novas in the 3.5ml. The earlier versions before the 2.0 we're problematic. I have had a couple of the mini version that have threading problems since it fits down into the base you can't see if it is slightly off. Always check to see if the center post is not leaning in those. I have been using the version 2.5 same 3.5ml novas for at least 6mos now and all I have to do is rebuild the heads with new coil and wick. Certain juices are always a problem with plastic as it creates a chemical reaction. The latest versions are best. Know your supplier and what they carry -if unsure ask. I do not use overly acidic juices so no problems yet.News Details - Vision High Technology

Congrats on being analog free! Feels good! I'm about 6-7 weeks into vaping myself as well, and fully off of analogs! I thought I was using Vivi Novas, but on 2nd look I'm using another type from Totally Wicked.

I'm using ego passthrough as my batteries now, I started with an ego slim (which was a decent device) but as an all day vaper it was a pain in the ..... I went to my local shop and asked for ViVi Novas to compliment the newer and bigger batteries, and they sold me those instead:
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co...coil-systems/rcs-mini-nova-kit-2-product.html

Overview:
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/replacement-coil-systems-products.html

Basically a vivi nova mini. I went with mini because it look nicer on my thinner ego passthrough. Though 2ml is def. not enough, I fill it 3-4 times a day.

Which I'm not surprised now that I think about it as this local shop is new and pretty much only carries ego products and accessories from Totally Wicked.

Apparently totally wicked calls them Replacement Coil Systems.

I have to say I enjoy the mini and it works great. Much nicer on my ego batteries than what I started with.

The atomizers in the tanks are replaceable (obviously) and come in 1.8ohm, 2.4ohm, 3.2ohm & maybe even 4.0ohms. I've only used the 2.4ohms and I'm not experienced enough to answer what the change in ohms does to the smoke. I assume some vape more and some less, also runs battery down quicker, and this also has to do with the voltage your battery/mod is running at as well as the ratio at which your juice is mixed. I'm using store default of 80/20 PG/VG blend, but you can get them mixed however you like, more PG less VG, etc. Some (most?) online juice venders even have a drop down menu and let you choose your own ratios when ordering. I use Mt Baker Vaper.

Still learning myself but hope this helps a little. I hope some more experienced members chime in as I'd like to know more as well. What do the different ohm atomizers do, how it effects your vape hits and batteries, and also about the different ratios you can get your juice mixed at? What do they do/change and why is it needed?

(Another site I've found extremely helpful is http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/ )

Yes, the latest is the 2.5 and some vendors call them the V3.

Here are the official vendors. Stick to them if you want to make sure you are not getting a knockoff.

BTW...I am not sure anyone knows all the changes that went into the 2.5, but here is a review by BPusardo that talks about the 2.5 vs. the 1.0. I have 2 Vivi Novas 3.5mL, and I agree with his review.

A PBusardo Review - Vivi Nova 2.5 - YouTube

In the end, you want the latest version and buy it from an official vendor.

Ok so now that we established that the ViVi Nova 2.5 and V3 are the same. What about the ViVi Nova V2 and 2.5? Are the atomizer heads interchangeable with each other? Any major differences between these two? Same size top cap and bottom base that screw on with each other?

Also another thing, the V2 I purchased from a local vendor in my area weeks ago came with stardust multi threaded long wicks (pointed cone cap in the silicone sleeve) and all 3 replacements heads were 2.4 ohms for some odd reason. Does Vision now sell their ViVi Nova's with stardust heads or did I receive a knock off? The box that it came in reads "ViVi Nova" with Visions "V" logo but it also doesn't say "Vision" anywhere on the box. My Mini ViVi Nova says "Vision" on the box.

Sorry for all the noobie questions asked but please help!

As far as i know, what you describe with your local vendor is not supposed to happen. I have heard bad things about B&M shops, some of them just put together the cheapest thing that they can sell, so i can definitely see them picking up some left over stardust heads and stuff it in with your nova stuff. Ask them directly.

On the other hand, it could just be that they sell kits with all 2.4 ohm heads. At the end of the day, it is much, much cheaper and quicker and in some way easier to rebuild your own wick and coil, especially if you have a variable voltage device and dont have to worry too much about variance in resistance.

Yeah I asked them directly and they told me it was genuine Vision but, there were still things that indicated it could be a knockoff (Box and stardust heads) But on the bright side, my genuine ViVi Nova replacement heads I bought work on them so maybe its ok. Its just that if they are indeed knockoffs, they cost as much as genuine Vision ViVi Novas ($15 bucks a pop) and I would be very disappointed in their business morals.
