I don't know how handy you are but check out this guys work.... worth looking at. But I do like my maps!!! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/167225-best-3-tank-mod-youll-see-today.html

Unfortunately I don't have that option. It's gonna get shaken up, it's gonna go from vertical to side to upside down, I don't have the option to just set my PV down during daily activities or work. My handy little cig spot in my car is also horizontal, so it's gonna get set on its side. I know, it's a pain in the ..., but I don't think its too much to ask that I put a carto in my pocket and walk around with it without getting a mouthful of nicotine when I go to take a puff.

I'm getting about 3 hours out of the IKV gold v2 but the flavor's not as good as the Royal Ce2, but I'm about one more "gurgle" away from pitching the ce2's. I'll definitely try the ego tank system even though it's a little more than I'd like to spend on a trial and error product. I'd love to get a MAP but I'm very sick of having to unscrew, blow off, and wipe out just because I set the thing on its side, or it got shaken up in a pocket.

Still has ce2 guts. I do think I'm gonna try to find a way to seal the ce2's so that they don't friggin leak. I've got 4 that still work. I'll clean em out and let them dry before playing clearomizer surgeon. IF I can get something going I'll try the tank mod, AND get a MAP. But at the moment I'm not very optimistic. Gorilla tape on the heatshrink anyone?

Edit: I put clear silicone on the heatshrink seams (especially where the wires go under the heatshrink.) I'll let that dry for a few hours and put another coat on. I'll try it tomorrow and see if it holds a seal any better.

Wow...I have the eGo-T, but am considering a MAP...my issues with the tank: the flavor...a very yucky plastic-y taste. I've had ZERO leaks, although the condensation you get from vaping makes it seem as though it has a minor leak. Absolutely NO atty/batt leaks, no matter how I lay it down or throw it in my purse. I like not having to drip, but I miss the flavor. That's why I wanted to try the MAP, but the more I consider it, the more I'm leaning toward the vapemate. HzG8rgrl has 2 great reviews on Y-tube on the Vapemate. YouTube - HzG8rGrl's Channel YouTube - HzG8rGrl's Channel

I love her videos, she's so down to earth!

I think I may still order the 2.5 ml MAP just to see for myself...heck, what's another $25 at this point, lol! Def gonna see about the Vapemate too.

If you're really only concerned with leakage, that's one thing the tank does well...NOT leak. But, after you refill the little cap at the end several times and the little flap gets loose, use a new one so everything is nice and tight fitting. That way you KNOW it's not going to leak on you. Maybe the tank can be your work workhorse, then use another product at home and during your off hours.

I had the regular MAP to start, but it was a tad too big on a few of my mods for my liking. I actually purchased it to save the huge stockpile of CE2R4s I had amassed because of a 100 min order from royalsmoker. Save that stockpile it did, as they wick better inside the MAP then they do on their own. Still though, was a bit big to carry around town.

Then I ordered the ego t-tank and it was absolutely horrible. I'm sure its great for those with limited access to other cartomizers or attys, but the drop off in flavor production was absolute fail for me. I already mix at 20% on my flavors, because I like them strong. Ego tank killed that.

Then I got lucky, and Bruce sent me one of the mini MAPs. Absolute heaven.

Another option is the Vapemate, don't think anyone has mentioned that. It is VERY overpriced, but it does exactly what it claims to do. For me this thing is the answer to at home dripping. i love the taste of dripping, but hate burning dry all the time, then dripping a few more drops, then running dry again. I hate that taste. Tube mod to the vapemate and you can drip all day long, it actually autofeeds most of the time with the tube.

That's a great pic, the mini map is a great size compared to the ego based on that. Keep crossing your fingers that the silicone sealed the ce2 so that I can actually get one of these things instead of getting something inferior just so that I can set it down on its side. I don't mind dripping at all because there's no wasted juice.

I love the concept of the vapemate, but thats just too huge and about $20 too expensive to be practical.

I've read lots of bad things about the t-tank with VG liquid, as well as a burnt taste but I am assuming that's because people didn't flush out the primer. Right now my shopping list in order of preference is...

Boge or Smok tech 510 cartos
Mini MAP (If and only if I managed to seal the ce2)
Volcano tankomizer (volcano's version of the t-tank)
GenJoye 510 or IKV gold v2
Blu carto's (Yeah, I know, but I used them for 2 weeks and they held a refil for HOURS)
Plain old 510 cartridges with some kind of foam mod, maybe fluval or aquatech fishtank filter material.

What do you guys think?

I've looked at them Stosh, Anyone know what makes them "smart?" And how do they hold up in terms of "hours of vaping? "

They're supposed to be a mini tank, no filler but not CE2 type, there's a couple threads around I was intrigued. For that cost I'm willing to try almost anything once, and I order from COV at times. I'm just so stocked up right now I can't justify an order.

Stownz I see that you have the Vapemate on a GGTS - have you tried the AVS system that goes with it? I have it on my mine and it works very well.

AVS is tricky and Bruce still doesn't have any in stock. I bought the vapemate so I can drip without carrying a bottle around. It actually autofeeds most of the time on thin juices.

A LR tornado atty for me. It has a few downsides, but so far there isn't anything really negative I can say about it. The 650mHa battery doesn't last a whole day, and you have to be careful of the button as it doesn't have the 5 click protection, but it certainly doesn't leak, and it's very convenient and compact. Sometimes if you hit it too much it will get a burnt taste, but I find if I just give it time to allow more juice to wick and rotate the tank. You get a lot of condensation and have to wipe out the inside of the mouth piece every now and again. To me, these minor quirks don't negate the ease of use and convenience of them and they produce a lot of vapor.
I got the case from Kingpin cigs, and I usually carry around a fully assembled LR t tank with a 650mAh battery (I like the size) and another LR atty on a 1000mAh battery (as a backup) along with two spare tanks two 5ml bottles of e juice and a 510 carto for good measure. All of this fits in a case no larger than an eyeglass case.
Last night one of my brothers in law introduced me to TastyVapor, and if you can't get good flavor from that stuff with this setup, there is something wrong with your taste-buds... We also compared my LR- t-tank with his ego with a LR 510 atty and drip tip and we couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between the two.

So far so good after silicone-ing the ce2 guts. I've left the cartridge on its side for 20 minutes, no gurgle. I'm still getting tons of vapor, but not a lot of flavor, so I'm letting it sit on its side some more so that the wicks can get soaked. What I did was glob silicone on all of the heatshrink seams, smooth it out, let it dry, and give it another coat. After 3 coats I let it dry for 24 hours and re-assembled the cart, I'll re-post this in a couple other ce2 leak forums after another hour with no gurgle, and whether or not it affects the flavor or not, and I'll snap a pic later too. IF this works well, and the flavor comes back after the wicks saturate, I'll get a MAP tank or a mini map. It's just that simple.
