map tank on 6v

Is a map tank 3 ohms safe/good to use on a 6v device? I am currently using it on a 5v mod and its good, but was just wondering if there are going to be any difference on a 6v.

Is it a really big significant change like damaging the ce2 I know it will shorten the longevity of its life. What ohms should be used for 6 v?

I don't know about the internals of a CE2 tank specifically, but a 3Ω atomizer at 6v is around 12 watts. That's a lot of power. I personally don't really like anything above ~10 watts.

Edit: I like 3.5 or 3.6Ω at 6v.

6 volts is to much for them, I popped 2 of them@3.2ohm on my prodigy.. I now use them on my Provari at 5.1 volts..

Try dual coils if you want to do 6v with a carto. they will work much better at that voltage. will still be warm.

I don't like cartomizers. Guess I'll use my map tank on my 5v and drip on my 6v. Which I hate doing.

I don't have a MAP tank, but nearly the same thing that my husband made & I run it with a 2.6 CE2 on my Prodigy at 6V with no problems. It doesn't heat up, burn out, or anything.

You are pushing it.
If you go 5v or even 6v, be sure to use the 3.2 ohm carto.
